Pros

Workout Options

For an entry level treadmill, the C 630 has a decent selection of workout programs. There are 20 preloaded workouts – divided into calorie, intensity, speed, and incline training.

Apart from this, you can also use iFit to download personalized workout programs or replicate real-life runs by choosing running trails from anywhere in the world using Google Maps.

The machine changes its incline automatically to mimic the surface of the trail you choose and gives you the feeling of running outdoors.

It should be noted that you need a wireless internet connection at home and an iFit subscription to be able to make use of this feature.

NordicTrack C 630 cushioning

Adjustable Cushioning

This is a feature that is not usually found in budget treadmills. The C 630 features FlexSelect cushioning, which comes with two different settings.

The first setting gives you a completely cushioned walking surface. It is easy on your joints and reduces impact greatly. The second setting gives you a lot firmer and harder walking surface akin to a road or a pavement. Depending on your preference, you can choose an appropriate setting.

Incline Training

The machine allows you to adjust the incline by up to 10%. Incline training increases your metabolic rate, burns more calories, improves the muscle definition in your lower body, and gives you better and faster results.

OneTouch Controls

NordicTrack’s patented OneTouch control mechanism makes it very easy for you to use the machine. You can change the speed or adjust the incline instantly at the touch of a button.

Space Saving Design

The NordicTrack C 630 has a relatively smaller footprint compared to some other entry-level machines.

Also, it is foldable into a vertical position. It not only takes up very little space, but also makes it easier for you to clean the workout area.

Silent Performance

The motor is very silent. There is no jarring noise or vibration that can disrupt the rhythm of your workout, even at top speeds.

Entertainment Options

The treadmill has a built-in tablet holder. You can affix your tablet to the holder, which is located right above the console. There is also an iPod compatible sound system with surprisingly high quality speaker components.

So, you can access your files, listen to your favorite songs, or enjoy your favorite movies while you burn off those excess calories.

Cons

Good for Jogging, Not So Much for Running

The 2.6 CHP motor is reasonably powerful, but not powerful enough to withstand heavy running – especially if you are slightly on the bigger side.

Moreover, the 1.9-inch rear roller is not enough to reduce the stress and wear and tear caused by intense training sessions.

So, this machine is ideal for walking and jogging, but not sturdy enough to withstand heavy running on a regular basis.

Conclusion

The NordicTrack C 630 is very good for an entry-level, budget treadmill. It is neatly designed, has features that are not available in most other low-priced treadmills, and extremely affordable. If you are on a small budget and looking for a treadmill for moderate use, this is the perfect choice for you.

Still, if you can afford to spend a couple hundred dollars more, you should go for the C 990, which is the next machine up in the NordicTrack C Series.

For a slightly higher price tag, it offers a more powerful motor, longer running track, higher incline, and higher running speed.
