The NordicTrack X32i Incline Trainer is one of newest treadmills in the company’s lineup. It joins the mid-level X22i, which was also recently upgraded.
This series is quite unique as they are the only treadmills on the market that give you up to 40% incline capability and 6% decline capability, along with special features and capabilities you simply don’t find anywhere else.
If you’re in the market for a cardio machine that takes your training to the next level, the X32i is definitely worth considering. You can target muscle groups you just can’t hit on other machines, and ramp up your cardio like never before.

NordicTrack X32i - Best Features
Largest Touch Screen on the Market
We were blown away by the sheer size and vibrancy of the touch screen on the NordicTrack X22i, another newly introduced treadmill from the company.
Now they have upped the ante even further with a 32″ Smart HD touch screen, bigger and brighter than you will find on any other treadmill on the market today.
It’s literally like having a flat screen TV attached to your treadmill, and everything is accessible with a swipe of your finger.
Access all of the latest iFit workouts, with specially designed training programs and on-demand classes. See all of your workout stats including heart rate, distance, calories, time, program, incline/decline and more.
It all unfolds right in front of you and keeps you motivated to work out harder.
Unlimited Workout Options
The NordicTrack X32i gives you a number of built in workout programs, more than you’ll find on most residential treadmills.
Choose from high intensity interval training, hills, calorie goal, heart rate and more, and change it up from one workout to the next.
Also, with iFit, as we mentioned above, you get access to even more workouts, and the ability to train one on one with personal trainers across the world.
The cool part is the treadmill automatically adjusts its speed and incline based on the terrain that you choose.
Note that as of our review iFit Coach was included for free for one month with your purchase. After that there is a small yearly membership, well worth the price for all that it offers.
New Push Bar and Sled Grips
One of the newest features on all of the incline trainers, including the base X14i treadmill, is the Push Bar and Sled Grip system.
This is yet another way to improve your cardio, with special grips that let you use the X32i in manual mode and further engage your leg and upper body muscles.
It’s a challenging workout option that adds another dimension to your workouts.
Incline/Decline Capability
Of course, the main thrust of the NordicTrack Commercial X32i and the other Incline Trainers is the incline and decline capability.
This is what sets it apart from the rest of the NordicTrack lineup and what makes them so very special.
All of the Incline Trainers have up to 40% incline (as opposed to 15% on the rest of the lineup) as well as 6% decline capability, which is the most you’ll find on the market today.
What does this do? Well, it just allows you to target additional leg muscles that you can’t hit on a flat or lower incline treadmill. It gives you uphill and downhill running capability, which is closer to the kind of workout you would get outdoors.
Also, it ramps up your cardio as it is much more challenging than running or walking on a flat surface.
Other Great Features
Those are just the main features on the new X32i treadmill. You also get all of the extras that NordicTrack is famous for including a strong 4.25 CHP motor, advanced Reflex cushioning, Bluetooth audio with speaker system, free wireless heart rate strap, and one month of free iFit programming.
NordicTrack X32i - Pros and Cons
Pros
Obviously there are a ton of pros when it comes to the NordicTrack X32i Incline Trainer.
You get a huge 32″ touch screen, incline/decline capability, endless workout options with iFit, commercial-grade cushioning, unique sled pull/push, wireless heart rate and Bluetooth audio.
The X32i is easy to assemble and use, and comes with a solid warranty including ten years on the frame and motor, 2 years on parts and electronics and 1 year on labor.
It’s just jam packed with features and capabilities that you simply don’t find with other brands.
Cons
There really aren’t any negatives here to speak about. It would be nice to perhaps have a higher max weight capacity on the X32i.
The old entry level X14i had a 300 lb. max user weight, so we’re not sure why the sturdier X32i doesn’t offer more.
Also, at around $4,500 on sale it’s expensive. Although you are definitely getting what you pay for, it’s still a lot of money to spend on a treadmill. Note that you could buy a mid-level club-quality treadmill for the same price.
Summary
So is the new NordicTrack Commercial X32i worth buying? If you have the budget for it, absolutely.
It has just about everything you could ever ask for in a treadmill and more. It is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to workouts and technology, which makes it one of the most enjoyable cardio machines you will ever use.
If you want to save a little money consider the X22i, which is very similar except for its 22″ touch screen.
Regardless of which Incline Trainer you choose, you’re in for an unmatched workout experience.
