NordicTrack C700 - Pros

iFit Coach Technology

The NordicTrack C700 treadmill features the company’s new iFit Bluetooth Smart technology, which allows you to connect your phone or tablet wirelessly to tap into additional professional workouts, on top of the ones that are built into the machine.

You can also track and share your results and work out anywhere in the world with Google map integration.

iFit Coach is basically a whole suite of tools that help motivate you. Keep in mind that you need a subscription for iFit, which is well worth the nominal fee.

Innovative Cushioning Technology

Like you find on some of the more expensive treadmills from brands like TRUE Fitness, the NordicTrack C700 features something called FlexSelect adjustable cushioning.

You can choose very soft to minimize all of the impact on your knees and joints or you can choose a more firmer option to replicate an outdoor run. This is a very cool feature you don’t normally find on an entry level machine.

Space Saving Capability

Just like its big sister, the NordicTrack C 990, the C 700 features SpaceSaver design which easily folds up via the EasyLift telescoping shock system. After your workout is completed you can effortlessly fold up the machine and store it away.

Other Good Features

Some of the other nice features on the C 700 are the multi-window LED display which shows you all of your relevant workout stats in a clear fashion, iPod compatibility for your music, One Touch easy controls, a nice sound system, 10% incline, a tablet holder and 20 built in workouts.

NordicTrack C700 - Cons

There aren’t too many negatives on the NordicTrack C 700 treadmill, especially given the very competitive price of $799 when it’s on sale.

It’s not the most powerful machine so if you are looking for something you can hit hard and run on then you should look higher up in the series.

Also, for just $200 more the up-level C990 offers a lot more, including a stronger motor, many more built in workouts, more of an incline, 7″ touch screen display and a longer belt. So that might be the better option between the two.

The top of the line C1650 is very similar to the C990, but adds a larger 10″ HD touch screen.

NordicTrack C700 - Conclusion

For an entry level machine, the new C 700 from NordicTrack is very hard to beat. It has a lot of workouts, incline capability, nice cushioning and comfort options, iPod compatibility and iFit technology. That’s a whole lot of features for just $799.

Just keep in mind that this is more of an entry level machine, fine for walking, jogging and light running.

If you’re a serious runner, or there will be a lot of users on a daily basis, you’ll want to look at one of the more expensive models in the NordicTrack lineup.
