NordicTrack T 7.5 S - Pros
Incredible Features For The Price
Although the NordicTrack T 7.5 S is considered an entry level machine, its features and capabilities say otherwise.
You get up to 12% incline capability, speeds up to 12 mph, a powerful 3.0 CHP motor and a large 20″ x 60″ running area.
You usually have to pay at least $1500 if not more to get all of that on a treadmill…the T 7.5 S is right around $1,000 when it’s on sale, an absolute bargain.
Huge Workout Selection
One of the most appealing features on the T 7.5 S is the huge variety of workout programs.
You get a whopping 50 built in workouts, which is at least double what you get on similarly priced treadmills.
There are HIIT programs, hills, distance, calories, heart rate…whatever you want to target there’s a workout for you.
Plus with iFit Coach, which is free for one year, you can tap into additional on-demand workouts with trainers all over the world.
So you can literally do a different workout every day for the rest of your life.
iFit Coach Interactive
As we mentioned above, the 7.5 S, like the rest of the NordicTrack treadmills, comes with iFit Coach.
On top of the endless on demand workouts, you get Google maps of any location worldwide, so you can run on the streets of Paris or the mountains of Peru.
The treadmill automatically adjusts the incline to match the terrain that you pick, which is a very cool feature.
You also get workout tracking capability, sharing, nutrition recommendations and a host of other features.
After the first year there is a membership fee, but it’s well worth it for all that you are getting.
New 7" Smart HD touchscreen console
All of the new NordicTrack T Series treadmills come with touch screen consoles, virtually unheard of in the entry level market.
The T 7.5 S has a large bright 7″ Smart HD touchscreen, a huge upgrade from the LED displays on the previous entry level C models.
Note that the up-level T 8.5S has a 10″ touch screen, and the top of the line T 9.5 S has a 14″ touch screen.
NordicTrack T 7.5 S - Cons
Same Max User Weight on All T Series Treadmills
It’s interesting to note that all of the T Series treadmills, including the top T 9.5 S, have the same 300 lb. max weight capacity.
Usually the upper level machines have a bump up in capacity.
Not a deal breaker, but if you are on the heavier side you might want to consider one of the commercial models, like the extremely popular Commercial 1750.
No Wireless Heart Rate Capability
None of the T Series treadmills have wireless heart rate monitoring, so if this is something that’s important to you you might want to again look at the Commercial Series or the Incline Trainers.
You can still get your heart rate from the grips, but it’s not going to be as accurate as wireless monitoring is.
Again, not a real deal breaker but something to keep in mind.
NordicTrack T 7.5 S - Conclusion
For those in the market for a solid, yet affordable treadmill for their home gym, the NordicTrack T 7.5 S is a very good choice.
It has a large, well-cushioned deck, incline capability, a high selection of workouts with iFit Coach, touch screen console and Bluetooth audio capability.
We would also take a look at the up-level T 8.5 S, as it gives you a larger 10″ touch screen, more powerful 3.5 CHP motor and a stronger warranty, for only $300 more than the T 7.5 S.
Overall, the T Series is a great option with four very capable treadmills with plenty of features and capabilities.
For more serious runners or those on the heavier side, consider the Commercial Series as well.
