IFit LIVE Module Compatible, NOT included
The Treadmill has included 26 pre-set iFIT workouts, but the iFIT module is much more interesting because it can enable Google Trails workouts which are pretty awesome.
We wrote a review for the module which we strongly recommend you read and find out how this module works. Click HERE to go to the IFIT LIVE MODULE review.
Information Mode:
Allows you to:
- see total miles/km walked/ran on the belt
- see total time
- change display to be in miles or km
- change contrast level of the display
- see status of the WiFi connection you need to use the iFit LIVE module (if you decide to buy and connect it)
Sound System: compatible with MP3, iPOD, CD player and any other similar equipment.
Fan: high and low speeds
Folding treadmill:
You must be able to lift 20kg (45lbs) to fold the treadmill alone. The treadmill folds by using the latch knob available on the frame. To move the treadmill around you can use its wheels.
Conclusions
Honestly, we weren’t that impressed by Reflex 4500 PRO, at least not for the money it costs ($2.000). The Reflex Cushion they market as a technology hit for this treadmill is good, but not for running. Same as on the APEX 4500 (which had the same technology) you can use Reflex 4500 PRO to walk and jog easily. It feels great for the joints to exercise with minimum pressure. But when you run it’s like sometimes the ground slips under you. You need a firmer cushion for this type of exercise.
Still, it’s easy to fold, much easier than other treadmills with this feature. This is good because if you can lift 20 kg you can fold this treadmill by yourself. It takes less space to store which is important if you have little space to spare in your home. Plus, you can move by yourself at need.
But, on the other hand, the belt on Reflex 4500 PRO is the short version. You get only a 55’’ long belt. We usually prefer minimum 60’’ as we are tall people.
For this money, we would like to have the iFIT LIVE module included. This is because having this module would worth the investment. When you see in their specs the iFIT LIVE, is just to mention that you can pay extra and buy it. Look at our iFIT review to understand better this optional module’s features.
The iFIT workouts included in the pre-set workouts work too. They are challenging and can motivate you to keep up with your training. Still, don’t expect to allow you to prepare for a marathon, because they won’t.
On the other hand, the Weight Loss workouts don’t provide reliable info. This is because the number of calories the console displays during workout is calculated with a general formula, not based on your actual weight and age, as it should be.
As a last conclusion we can recommend this treadmill only for basic training.
Still, before you decide to pay $2.000 on this version, you should read the Commercial 1500 Review too. This is to review your options throughout before making a good decision.
