Large Running Surface
The moment you step on the treadmill you will realize that it has a large running surface.
The tread belt is 22” wide, which gives you enough space to walk, jog, or run comfortably. The earlier version only had a 20” wide belt, so this is a welcome improvement.
Excellent, Innovative Cushioning
The cushioning is undoubtedly one of the best features of the NordicTrack Elite 9500 Pro. The patented QuadFlex cushioning offers excellent protection to your joints and reduces impact by up to 24%. It allows you to train longer and harder without worrying about hurting your back or joints.
The cushioning is also adjustable. There are nine different settings for you to choose from. With each setting, the firmness of the surface changes slightly. You can try different settings for different types of workouts or stick to a particular setting that you find most comfortable.
Large Collection of Workout Programs
The machine offers 40 weight loss, interval, heart rate, and endurance based workout programs for you to choose from.
The treadmill is also iFit compatible, which gives you access to a number of training programs designed by professional trainers.
Moreover, you can choose any running trail or terrain from any part of the world and the machine will adjust the incline or decline automatically to mimic the surface of the terrain you pick. You can also enjoy a nice view of the terrain on the touchscreen display.
Incline and Decline Training
The Elite 9500 Pro inclines up to 15% and declines down to 3%. Incline/decline training is akin to running up and down a hill.
It allows you to burn a lot more calories than compared to running on a flat surface. Also, training at different inclines allows you to target different muscle groups in your body, and decline treadmills are still quite rare.
You can start from zero and change the incline to the next level with one touch of a button. The incline angle starts from zero and goes to 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15. You can also adjust the incline angle in very small increments (0.5%).
Easy-to-Use Touchscreen Display
The touchscreen display presents your workout stats in full color. The one-touch controls allow you to adjust and change any feature at the touch of a button.
The display is web enabled, which allows you to check your email, read the news, connect with your online friends, and enjoy the best of what the online world has to offer while you work out.
Stable and Quiet Performance
The motor is powerful enough to withstand rigorous training sessions on a daily basis.
It is also very quiet, which is unusual considering how noisy some of the commercial grade motors usually are. So, you can listen to your favorite tracks on the sound system without any annoying noise in the background.
The machine is foldable. So, it requires less space than the average treadmill.
The 2010 version had a 4.0 HP motor. This version, on the other hand, has a 3.8 HP motor. It should be noted that the slight downgrade in power does not affect the performance of the motor greatly. If you want more power you can opt for the Elite 9700 treadmill which has a 4.25 HP motor.
The machine is very heavy. You need at least two people to assemble it and move it around.
It’s a bit pricey…but you do get a lot for your money so it is a great value.
The NordicTrack Elite 9500 Pro is an excellent treadmill which is tailor-made to meet the fitness needs of serious runners.
It is easy to use, durable, and packed with innovative features. It is a very good choice for anyone who is looking for a machine that can withstand strenuous workouts on a regular basis and last long.
