The NordicTrack Elite 9700 Pro features a heavy-duty 4.25 CHP motor, which is known for its exceptional power and performance.

This beast of a motor is designed to withstand the most grueling of training sessions on an everyday basis.

The motor has high quality wiring and commercial bearings and also has a thermal cut-off switch. In other words, it is built to last long.

The machine has a 22″ wide belt, which is two inches wider than the belts on most other treadmills. It gives you lot of space to train comfortably, even if you are a bit on the taller side.

It is interesting to note that the machine also has a 3″ rear roller, which is designed to reduce the wear and tear on the belt. This feature is usually found only in commercial grade trainers, but NordicTrack has added it to the Elite 9700 Pro to improve the belt’s performance.

Long and intensive training sessions on a treadmill usually take a toll on your back and joints. The Elite 9700 Pro has solved this problem with the highly innovative QuadFlex Precision Calibration cushioning.

The treadmill cushioning protects your joints by reducing the impact by up to 24%.

Also, it is highly customizable and comes with nine different settings. The firmness of the running surface changes slightly with each setting. You can choose a setting that you are most comfortable with and train to your heart’s content.

The treadmill comes preloaded with 42 workout programs. You have eight incline workouts, eight calorie burning workouts, eight intensity workouts, eight speed workouts, and 10 iFit workouts to choose from.

The iFit workouts, in particular, are quite spectacular. Each workout has a different trail and the machine adjusts the incline and decline automatically to match the surface of the terrain.

The machine is iFit enabled, but you have to buy the subscription separately. A free iFit subscription, even if it is only for a few months, would have been a great addition to the machine, especially considering its price tag.

The NordicTrack Elite 9700 Pro is a runner’s dream come true. It is sturdy, powerful, dependable, easy to use, and absolutely loaded with features.

The price tag, around $2300 on sale, might make some of you think twice, but the machine offers more value for your money than most other machines in its class. So, if you are looking for a treadmill that will last a lifetime and allow you to train your heart our every day, this is the one for you.
