The ProForm SMART Power 1295i joins the 995i as a new treadmill in the popular series, with plenty of great features that make it stand out from the pack. With a large web-enabled touch screen, generously sized runner’s deck and a powerful, quiet motor, this one looks to be a real winner.

The SMART Series includes one year of the company’s patented iFit Coach, an immersive program that includes personal trainer designed workouts, tracking and sharing capability and Google map integration that allows you to run anywhere in the world, right on the screen in front of you.

ProForm Power 1295i - Pros

Large Cushioned Belt

The ProForm SMART Power 1295i gives you a generously sized belt to accommodate walkers and runners alike, with ProShox cushioning to absorb most of the impact.

The comfortable belt is 20″ wide and 60″ long, so there is plenty of room to stretch out, even for taller users who sometimes feel cramped on other treadmills on the market.

It’s also maintenance free, so you can use it as hard as you want for as long as you want with no maintenance required.

iFit Coach Technology

The treadmill is iFit Ready, meaning you have access to unlimited workouts on top of the built in ones, tracking capability and Google maps of any location in the world. The machine will automatically adjust its incline to match the terrain.

ProForm Power 1295i iFit Coach Console

As we mentioned, since the Power 1295i is part of the SMART Series, you get this program for free for one year, so you can see what it has to offer at no cost.

Note that the entry level ProForm Power 995i does not come with a free year of iFit currently.

There are studio workouts with seasoned trainers across the world, nutrition recommendations, and plenty of interactivity to take your workouts to the next level.

Power Incline

You can incline the ProForm SMART Power 1295i up to 12%, which really allows you to target different muscle groups and vary your workouts.

Rather than manual income like some other treadmills have, here you can adjust the incline with the touch of a button. The higher you go, the higher the calorie burn. It’s also a more challenging cardio workout, which is why ramp training is always a part of HIIT workouts.

New 7" High Contrast Screen

Just like you find on many of the newer treadmills, the ProForm SMART Power 1295i has a 7″ high contrast display.

This puts all of your stats right in front of you in bright color, and you can easily make selections with the one touch buttons.

Other Great Features

The SMART Power 1295i also features a powerful, yet surprisingly quiet motor, a SpaceSaver design for easy folding, CoolAire workout fan and a very solid warranty.

ProForm, as well as their sister company NordicTrack, always pack their treadmills with a ton of extras, so on top of a solid workout with programs, incline, cushioned deck and easy controls, you also get many additional comfort features and other capabilities to make your workouts more challenging and enjoyable.

Drawbacks

No Wireless Heart Rate Monitoring

Usually the higher level models within a series will offer wireless heart rate monitoring capability.

Both the 995i and 1295i only offer grip heart rate, and not wireless. Definitely not a deal breaker though, and our only real “complaint”.

ProForm Power 1295i Review - Conclusions

The new SMART ProForm Power 1295i seems to have everything you could possibly want in a home treadmill.

You have a large deck with great cushioning, incline capability, tons of built in workouts, a powerful/quiet motor and an intuitive bright display just like you find at the gym.

Plus, you can try out iFit Coach free for one year, which gives you access to a lot of additional features like personal trainers from all over the world, nutrition recommendations and meal plans, and Google maps right on your screen of any location you choose across the globe.

This one is a real winner, especially if you can find it on sale for under $1,500.
