ProForm Power 995i Treadmill - Pros

Round Watts LED Display

The ProForm Power 995i is one of only a few treadmills featuring the Round Watts LED Display.

With this technology you can tell what power zone you are in as you are working out: Endurance (slow and steady), Tempo (ideal heart rate) and Peak (cardio max).

You can also do interval training by hitting the Work button to ramp it up followed by the Recover button to slow it down.

iFit Coach Technology

The treadmill is equipped with the latest version of the company’s iFit program, giving you access to Google maps to choose any location in the world, as well as personalized workouts and tracking of all of your results.

iFit does require a yearly membership, but it is well worth it for all of the tools that you get.

Incline Capability

The ProForm Power 995i gives you up to 15% power incline, so you can really challenge yourself and target different muscle groups while ramping up the cardio.

Tons of Workouts

Even if you don’t opt for iFit’s extensive library, you can still tap into 30 workouts built right into the machine. There are plenty of different goal oriented programs to choose from, enough to make each workout different from the last.

Other Great Features

The Power 995i also gives you a powerful, yet quiet 3.0 CHP motor, large 20″ x 60″ cushioned deck, SpaceSaver design, heart rate grips, iPod compatibility and a generous warranty.

Need to Use Tablet for iFit

This one is not really a negative, but if we had to pick one thing, since there is not really much to not line about this treadmill, it’s the fact that you have to use your tablet or smart phone to view the Google maps.

On the up-level Power 1295i, you can view these maps right on the console itself. It has an enhanced 7″ Smart HD touch display, which is definitely worth the additional $300 in our opinion.

ProForm Power 995i Review - Conclusions

The ProForm Pro 995i gives you a lot for under $1000. You get a strong motor, 30 workout apps, incline capability, large cushioned belt, power display and iFit Coach technology.

It’s definitely one of the most feature-packed treadmills we’ve seen at this price level.

Still, we prefer the 1295i model, as it not only gives you the touch screen but also more workouts, a stronger motor and a better warranty.
