Conclusions

For safe and convenient storage, the treadmill has a special lift system that uses two hydraulic shocks to gradually raise and lower the deck. The lift system makes it safe and easy for people of all ages and strengths to store the treadmill by themselves.

All the models in this series have a low number of built in workouts. The Horizon 5.3T model, which is the top of the line, has only 10 workouts. Even if they are limited, the workouts are very interesting. We especially love the Golf Course workout.

This is a great looking treadmill with good motor and belt.

I turned on my Horizon Elite Treadmill model 5.3T.
Unexpectedly the incline just took off and rose all
    the way to max.
It won’t respond and I cannot make it come back
down. I know, I know… train harder!! hahaha.
At my age I’m not preparing for the olympics.
Everything else seems to work just fine.
I can adjust the speed. If I pull the magnet the
    belt will stop.
Do you know how I can get it fixed?
    Thank you,
    Robert Lewis

The User’s Guide says to reset the console after lubing the running deck. Not sure if that will help, but it couldn’t hurt. Press and hold the STOP and Speed ‘+’ buttons for 5 seconds. Johnson (parent company)support is (800) 244-4192
