Horizon 7.4 AT - Best Features

Larger Running Deck

One of the biggest upgrades from the base 7.0AT model is the size of the running area.

Whereas that model has a 20″ x 60″ running surface, which is in itself more than what most treadmills offer, the 7.4 AT steps it up even more with a 22″ x 60″ XL deck, one of the largest in the industry.

That gives you more freedom to move and is ideal for larger individuals who may feel a bit cramped on smaller treadmills.

Advanced Cushioning System

Horizon Fitness is known for having great cushioning, a key selling point, especially for those with injuries who need something low impact.

The 3 Zone Variable Response Cushioning system gives you the right amount of give/support throughout your workout to minimize impact on your knees and joints.

So the 7.4 AT is a great choice that allows you to train longer without the usual post workout discomfort.

Free Pro Workout App

With the Bluetooth capability on the Horizon 7.4 AT, you can access the free training app on your tablet or phone that allows you to control the workout, track your results and sync with your favorite fitness apps.

This is a great way to stay motivated to reach your goals, and gives you all of the information you need in one place. See your progress over time and set milestones for yourself to hit with each workout.

Incline Training

The 7.4 AT gives you incline capability up to 15%, which is a great way to not only target additional muscle groups in the legs but also ramp up the cardio component as well.

You can start at the lower levels and work your way up to the top, maximizing the results of your workouts.

Other Great Features

The Horizon 7.4 AT also has a strong 3.5 CHP motor, an upgrade from the 3.0 CHP motor on the base model. You get a fam, tablet holder, water bottle holder, Bluetooth speakers and an audio jack.

The Horizon warranty is one of the strongest in the business: lifetime frame and motor, 5 years parts and 2 years labor. That’s really hard to beat.

Horizon 7.4 AT Review - Conclusion

The Studio Series from Horizon Fitness is very impressive, and is a great choice for those who want to get more out of their workouts.

The 7.4 AT is the mid-level model, right between the base 7.0 AT and the top of the line 7.8 AT. All of these treadmills are a big step up from the base series, yet not as pricey as the Elite Series.

If you want to save a little money, definitely check out the very capable Go Series treadmills. And if you’re more of a serious runner and the budget is a bit open, then by all means check out the Elite Series.
