Horizon 7.0 AT Treadmill - 2019 Model

Overview

The 7.0 AT is one of two new treadmills that Horizon introduced in late 2018 as a 2019 model. It’s a step up from the new T202, which was introduced to the market at the same time.

This one has a larger running area, a powerful yet quiet motor and Bluetooth technology that allows you to tap into the free training app and sync with all of your favorite fitness programs.

The 7.0 AT is the perfect combination of durability and advanced technology, at a very affordable price.

Horizon 7.0 AT - Best Features

Great Cushioning System

Horizon is known for their advanced Variable Response cushioning system, which gives you the ideal amount of support and give in three different zones of the belt.

The new 7.0 AT also has this special system, which minimizes impact on your knees and back, allowing you to work out longer.

Large Running Area

Just like the other new treadmill in the lineup, the T202, the 7.0 AT has a larger running area than the base T101 model.

You get a 20″ x 60″ deck, with plenty of room to stretch out and run, regardless of your height. It’s a nice upgrade from the 55″ wide deck on the base model.

Bluetooth Tracking Capability

One of the most exciting upgrades on the new Horizon 7.0 AT is Bluetooth capability, missing on the base T101 model.

This allows you not only track your heart rate wirelessly, but also use your smart phone or tablet to control the machine through the free training app.

You can check all of your workout stats, sync up the info with any fitness programs that you use, set goals for yourself and even stream your music through the new enhanced speakers.

It’s a great feature that really helps you get more out of your workouts.

Incline Functionality

The 7.0 AT comes with Horizon’s highest incline capability, an impressive 15%.

This allows you to really ramp it up (no pun intended) and not only boost your cardio output but also target more muscle groups in the legs.

Incline training burns up calories quickly, and it’s nice to have the ability to go up to 15%.

Note that the base T101 has 10% capability, and the T202 has 12%.

Other Great Features

The Horizon 7.0 AT also has a durable folding frame, a maximum user weight of 350 lbs., a number of built in workout programs and a very generous warranty on frame, parts and labor.

Horizon 7.0 AT Review - Conclusion

We like the new Horizon 7.0 AT, as it combines the best features of the lower priced treadmills with the advanced technology of the higher level ones.

You get the solid cushioning, maximum incline capability, Bluetooth integration, strong motor, durable frame and the free training app that controls the machine at the touch of a button.

As far as negatives, there really isn’t anything here to complain about. You don’t get too many workout programs…about half a dozen as opposed to 30-40 on some of the higher end models.

But there’s plenty of variety and you definitely won’t get bored.

If you don’t need Bluetooth and want more of a basic entry level machine, check out the T101 which is a few hundred dollars less.

Also consider the new T202, which is a slight step down, or one of the higher end Elite treadmills if you want even more of a performance machine.

Regardless of which Horizon treadmill you choose, you really can’t go wrong.

There is literally a machine for everyone in this lineup, especially with the new T202 and 7.0 AT added to the mix.
