The XT285 is a good deal, on sale. If it’s more than $1500, you may want to check other models, such as Sole F80. But let’s get this straight: the XT285 is a notable unit for the $1500 range. Even if it has its limitations, we recommend the XT285 to any user who wants to get back on the exercise horse.

Most of you have already been acquainted with the reputable Sole treadmills. Many of you are quite fond of them. Well, we are also. For those of you who don’t know this, Spirit XT285 is produced by the same brand that designs the Sole units. It looks like Spirit really takes the reputation forward given the impressive quality of the XT285.

This machine is dependable and comfortable and has a motor powerful enough to offer smooth and quiet workouts. It’s like trying to catch 2 rabbits at the same time. And succeeding.

The running surface is average, and in treadmill talk, average means that taller users won’t benefit from this unit. Still, for most of the users, this treadmill offers a nice, spacious surface to run on. And also comfortable. The cushioning system gets the job done, which means that once the workout is done, we feel like brand new, no stress, no injury.

The console is not hard on the eyes, and it is also user friendly. Feedback gathers all information you may need to know during workouts and also, it is really easy to use without altering your pace.

As far as workouts go, if you’re a walker or a jogger, you may get all the challenge you’ve been looking for. If you’re the cardio addict we are, you already know how useful the wireless chest strap will be during intense Heart Rate programs. You get the fan, the Smartphone compatible speakers and a nice warranty.

Main attraction

How would you like incline and speed controls right in the hand grip area? Crave no more because Spirit XT285 is packed with this nice little feature. Sure, it’s no brainiac innovation, but still it’s a major advantage for any treadmill.
