Life Fitness Platinum Club Series - Best Features

Three Console Options

As we mentioned above, you have three choices when it comes to consoles. A 7″ LCD with Bluetooth (Explore), a 10″ touch with the internet (Discover SI) and a 19″ touch with internet and a television (Discover SE).

The only other treadmill in the lineup with a touch screen is the new Club Series Plus model, which is one of the most advanced machines we have come across.

All three consoles on the Platinum come with LF Connect which allows you to sync your workouts with your favorite fitness apps. They all have interactive courses that you can watch to virtually run outdoors while the machine adjusts itself to match the terrain.

You get a number of different workouts and user profiles depending on the console that you choose.

High Quality Construction and Design

The Life Fitness Platinum Club Series is as good as it gets in terms of quality and function.

It is truly gym quality, with a welded steel frame, front roller lifts wheels and rear levelers. You have solid 3.5″ crowned steel rollers and a powerful 4.0 HP motor.

There is a large running surface of 22″ x 60″ to accommodate all size users. Maximum user weight is a generous 400 lbs.

These machines are built to last, and will be able to withstand years of heavy use with minimal maintenance required. There’s a very solid warranty as well.

You can choose from 4 different frame colors (Arctic Silver, Black Onyx, Diamond White, Titanium Storm) and with the three different console choices, you can really customize this one to create the ideal treadmill for your home.

Life Fitness Platinum Club Series Review - Conclusion

All in all, the Life Fitness Platinum Club Series is a great treadmill if you can swing the hefty price tag. Let’s break down the pros and the cons.

Pros

You get a rock-solid, gym-quality treadmill from one of the most well-regarded names in the fitness industry. You get the same ergonomic design and functionality as you find on their commercial models.

There is a 15% incline, which is great for cardio training, plus up to 12 mph speed which is great for all levels of users. The treadmill has FlexDeck Shock absorption which minimizes impact so you can stay on the machine longer.

You have console options so you can pick the features that appeal to you, as well as color choices to match your home decor.

Cons

These machines are expensive. This is their top of the line model, and the $7000+ price tag reflects that. Keep in mind that the Discover Consoles and some color options add to the price as well.

You also don’t get the decline, which would be nice at this price level…but it’s not a deal breaker.

Bottom Line

All told, if you can afford it, the Life Fitness Platinum Club treadmill is a great choice for those who pretty much want a gym machine right in their own home.

It’s built to withstand years of heavy use, while offering an impact-reducing running belt and loads of great features.

If you want to save a little money definitely check out the new Club Series Plus, which is a sleek, modern treadmill with all of the latest technology.
