NordicTrack T10

NordicTrack T Series 10

★★★★☆

Overview

The NordicTrack T Series 10 is one of the newest treadmills in the company’s lineup and the more affordable of the two current T Series models. The series was recently brought back after a short hiatus, with the T10 joining the up-level T16.

Although it’s considered an entry-level NordicTrack, the T10 still gives you a lot of what the company is known for, including a full-size running deck, incline capability, adjustable cushioning and the iFIT training platform.

What we like about the T10 is that NordicTrack didn’t strip it down too much just to get the price lower. You still get a modern treadmill with plenty of workout capability, just without some of the upgrades and extras that you’ll find on the more expensive models.

That makes the T10 a nice option for someone who likes what NordicTrack and iFIT have to offer but doesn’t necessarily need one of the company’s higher-end treadmills.

Let’s jump into our NordicTrack T10 review and see what it’s all about…

Best Features

Incline Ramps Up Training & Cushioning Reduces Impact

Although it is one of the more affordable treadmills in the NordicTrack treadmill lineup, you still get significant incline capability and very solid cushioning.

The NordicTrack T10 inclines up to 12% for some real challenging workouts.

It also features SelectFlex cushioning, which allows you to choose the type of surface you’re comfortable with, from soft all the way up to firm.

This customization is what makes NordicTrack so popular in the home gym space.

iFIT Workout Programs Add Diversity

One of the most attractive features of the NordicTrack treadmills, from the T10 all the way up to the top of the line X24 incline treadmill is the sheer amount of workouts and other features that iFIT offers.

It’s a subscription based program with a huge library of workouts for beginners up to pros, and you can choose to work out virtually anywhere in the world with Google maps for more a enjoyable experience.

The best part is the treadmill automatically adjusts incline and speed to match the program that you have selected.

Touch Screen Technology Enhances Workout

The new NordicTrack T10 comes with a 10″ HD touch screen, just like the up level Commercial 1250.

Note that the up-level T Series 16 comes with a 16″ touch screen, a noticeable size jump.

You can see all of your workout stats, as well as choose a destination for your session and see the trail unfold right before your eyes.

The touch screen gives you a more gym-like experience, and really makes your walk, jog or run more enjoyable.

Note that you need a wifi connection for iFIT workouts, otherwise you’ll have to use your phone or tablet.

Smaller Footprint Great For Smaller Spaces

The T Series 10 is ideal for those with smaller spaces, as it’s only 75″ long and 34″ wide, with a height of 58″. It also folds up after your workout for easy storage.

It has a 20″ x 60″ running belt, which is quite substantial for an entry level model. Some of the upper level models have more width if that’s something you’ll need.

Significant Extras & Comfort Features

Some of the many technologies you’ll find on the T10 include SpaceSaver design for easy folding, AutoBreeze workout fan, Bluetooth technology for heart rate monitoring, two 2″ speakers and ActivePulse target heart rate control.

Is the NordicTrack T Series 10 Right For You?

Who Should Buy It

The NordicTrack T Series 10 makes the most sense for someone who wants a quality home treadmill but doesn’t need to go overboard with one of NordicTrack’s more expensive models.

We think it’s a particularly good fit for the average home user who plans to do a combination of walking, jogging and running. There’s enough treadmill here to grow into as your fitness level improves, so you shouldn’t feel like you need to upgrade a year or two down the road.

It’s also a good choice for couples or families where different people may be using the same machine. The T10 is versatile enough to handle a pretty wide range of workouts and fitness levels.

For most people who like NordicTrack but want to keep the price reasonable, the T10 should be more than enough treadmill.

Who Shouldn't Buy It?

The T10 probably isn’t the best choice if you’re a serious runner putting in a lot of miles every week. In that case, we’d spend more for one of the Commercial Series models, which are better suited for heavier training.

We’d also look elsewhere if you have no interest in iFIT. A big part of the appeal of owning a NordicTrack is the training platform, and if you know you’re never going to use it, there are other treadmills that may give you more for your money.

And if you’re looking for a very simple treadmill without a touchscreen, streaming or connected features, the T10 is probably more machine than you need. A more traditional treadmill from Sole or Horizon may be a better fit.

Our Take on the NordicTrack T Series 10

I’ve been reviewing NordicTrack treadmills for years, and the lineup has changed quite a bit during that time. Models come and go, series disappear and come back, and NordicTrack is constantly changing the technology. But I’ve always felt that you don’t necessarily have to buy one of their most expensive treadmills to get a good machine.

That’s where I think the T10 fits in. I like that NordicTrack brought the T Series back because there was a pretty big gap between their really inexpensive treadmills of the past and the more expensive Commercial Series. The T10 fills that gap nicely.

Personally, I wouldn’t spend the extra money on the T16 just to get the larger screen and additional power unless those things are important to you. The T10 gives you most of the same overall experience for less money.

The tougher decision for me would be whether to make the jump to the Commercial 1750. I’ve reviewed many versions of the 1750 over the years and it’s still the NordicTrack I’d choose if the budget allows. But not everyone needs to spend that much on a treadmill.

That’s really why I like the T10. NordicTrack finally has a reasonably priced model again that I can recommend without feeling like you’re giving up too much to save the money.
