TRUE PS300 - Best Features

TRUE's Orthopedic Belt

One of the main differences between the Performance 300 and the base Performance 100 treadmill is the addition of the orthopedic belt.

This is the company’s top of the line belt, offering the most impact reduction on the knees and joints. Although all of TRUE’s belts reduce impact, the orthopedic belt is the best that is offered.

Workout Tracking

Both Performance models feature Wahoo’s runfit app, which tracks all of your workout results seamlessly so you can monitor your performance and set goals for your next workout.

You can also sync with other fitness apps that you use, making it very versatile. The PS300 can transfer all of this data wirelessly via Bluetooth, something the PS100 does not offer.

Heart Rate Programming

The Performance 300 is built for heart rate training, and there are a number of cardio-centric programs built in as well as HRC capability.

For those who like to keep themselves in the ideal zone throughout, TRUE treadmills are a great choice.

Workout Variety

In addition to the heart rate programs, you also get hills, distance, speed, performance and weight loss, so there’s plenty of workouts to choose from to keep your routine interesting.

Strong Warranty

One of the biggest selling points of the Performance 300 and the rest of the TRUE treadmill lineup is definitely the warranty.

With lifetime coverage on the frame, 30 years on the motor, 7 years on parts and 1 year on labor, you won’t find a better warranty anywhere else, even on the other higher end brands.

The company stands behind its cardio machines, and has always offered very comprehensive warranties to prove it.

Other Great Features

The Performance 300 also comes with transport wheels, an enhanced 8.5″ LCD display, up to 15% incline capability, quick keys, extended handrails, tablet holder, water bottle holder and accessory tray.

TRUE PS300 - Conclusion

The TRUE PS300 is a solid treadmill, built to last with commercial-grade components and the most advanced cushioning system available.

Let’s look at the pros and cons….

Pros

With the Performance 300 you get a very well-built machine and the ultimate impact reducing orthopedic belt.

There are plenty of workouts to choose from, with both grip and wireless heart rate monitoring.

You get a nice incline, a large deck, and a very generous warranty.

Cons

As with the PS100, the display on the PS300, although it’s clear, isn’t as advanced as it could be. Many companies are offering touch screens these days, especially in this price range, so that it something we would like to see.

The only touch screen display TRUE offers is on the top of the line 950, which costs over $6000.

The Performance 300 will run you almost $4,300, which is still on the pricy side.

Bottom Line

It’s hard to beat TRUE in terms of performance, construction and design. These are rock solid treadmills, yet they are relatively compact and cushioning is second to none.

The addition of workout tracking, something the previous version of the PS300 did not have, is definitely a step in the right direction, as more and more people are interested in keeping tabs on their workouts.

We recommend the PS300 for those who are looking for a high-end treadmill for their home gyms.
