Conclusions
Pros
Ask any runner about the M50 and you’ll be impressed by all the positive comments you’ll hear. It makes sense, as the M50 is really a great choice. It’s on the expensive side…but you get what you pay for with this one.
As previously mentioned, serious runners and joggers will really enjoy it. TRUE made sure of that and designed a user-friendly treadmill that keeps runners safe and comfortable on the belt with the orthopedic belt, the effective cushioning system and the powerful and sturdy motor. This is always a killer combo and M50 has it.
One of the key features of the M50 is the compact footprint which it shares with the M30 treadmill, that really maximizes the space. Add the modern aesthetics and there you go, no need to hide it behind closed doors.
TRUE Fitness is really trying to keep customers happy, so they invest a lot of sweat into it. Due to the low step-up height, getting on the treadmill is easy, no matter what condition you are in.
The aluminum straddle covers and curved pedestals not only contribute to the upgraded look of the treadmill but also provide a bonus of reliability.
Of course, the console is equally sleek and smooth. But it’s more than simple aesthetics. The minimalistic feel of the console comes in quite handy during tough workouts. Feedback information is easy to read and follow and navigation tools are user-friendly.
The built-in workouts offer a lot of variation. The 7 built-in programs provide an intense and consistent workout. If you want to create your own programs, you can do that as well. Those who are really into cardio, like us, will highly enjoy the two intensive HRC workouts. Not an easy thing to do, but definitely very satisfactory.
The reading rack is nice, although a runner can’t really split between cardio and the latest novel.
It goes without saying that the warranty package is second to none, as it is on all TRUE treadmills.
Main Attraction
The TRUE team really focused on making M50 an impressive cardio unit. The Heart Rate Control monitoring and workouts are definitely worth your while, if you’re an enthusiast. Not only will you benefit from hands-free heart rate reading (although you have to purchase the chest strap separately) there is also the Heart Rate Cruise Control option that you can use to set your current heart rate as your target heart rate. Take our word for it, this feature is a great for cardio training enthusiasts.
Drawbacks
We haven’t found any so far. It is expensive, but you’re getting a high-end machine which always comes with a price to match. Also, if you’re very tall or heavy, you might want to opt for one of the other models such as one of the PS or ES Series. They have longer belts and higher max weight capacities.
What's the Bottom lLne?
All in all, the TRUE M50 treadmill is a machine that we strongly recommend for walkers, joggers and runners who want to take a step further in their training. It’s built to last, minimizes stress on your joints and offers enough workouts to keep you satisfied.
Again, as we mentioned, if you’re on the taller or heavier side, check out the other treadmills in the TRUE lineup for more generous belt sizes and weight limits.
