Best Features

Advanced Technology

The TRM 835 offers exclusive technological features including Integrated Footplant Technology that adjusts the belt to match your stride and Ground Effects Impact Control to minimize impact on your knees and joints.

Precor TRM 835 Experience Series Console

Coupled with the multi-ply, prewaxed deck it provides years of use, while giving you the most comfortable, natural stride regardless of whether you are walking briskly or doing an all out sprint.

Incline and Decline Capability

The TRM 835 not only gives you up to 15% incline but you also get up to 3% decline. This really takes your workouts to the next level by allowing you to target additional muscle groups in the legs.

It is interesting to note that the other model in the series, the TRM 731, does not offer decline, yet the two mid-level Precision Series models, the TRM 445 and TRM 225, offer up to 2% decline.

Wide Array of Built In Workouts

The Precor TRM 835 gives you 25 built in workout programs, which is very impressive and gives you plenty of choices.

You can choose from various interval, weight loss, heart rate control, cross country and fitness test options, and the workouts cater to all fitness levels so there is something for everyone.

Bright Intuitive Console

You get the advanced P30 console featuring motion controls, a Quick Start function, numeric keypad and 20 workout metrics including speed, time, calories, incline, distance, Watts, METS and more.

You can also monitor your heart rate with the touch sensors or wirelessly if you have a chest strap monitor.

Other Features

Some of the other nice features on the Precor TRM 835 include a powerful 4.0 HP motor, water bottle/accessories holder, emergency stop, transport wheels, and a generous max user weight of 400 lbs.

Conclusion

Pros

There’s plenty to like on the TRM 835. It’s high end all the way, and you’ll certainly be happy with your purchase.

You get incline as well as decline, a generously sized deck, a powerful motor, advanced cushioning and tons of built in workouts.

You also have heart rate monitoring, one of the highest max speeds in the industry and all of the technology that goes into a Precor treadmill.

Drawbacks

There aren’t too many negatives with this one. Besides the high price that might make it out of reach for most users, it would have been nice to get a standard touch screen display with internet, as well as the company’s Preva tracking program which is available on some of the other models.

But this certainly not a deal breaker.

Bottom Line

If you can afford it, a Precor treadmill is as good as it gets. And the Experience Series, including the 835 and 811, are the top of the line.

Take a look at both of these models and decide which one is best for you. If you want to save a little money, check out the Precision Series as well.
