ProForm Premier 1300 treadmill

Overview

UPDATE: The Premier 1300 has been discontinued and replaced with an all new model. Check out the latest ProForm treadmill reviews here to find something comparable.

The ProForm Premier 1300 is a feature-packed treadmill that was newly introduced in 2016 as a mid-level choice between the base Sport Series and higher end Pro Series. Along with its little sister, the Premier 900, these models offer a ton of value and plenty of capabilities to keep you motivated towards success.

Pros

Bright Touch Screen Display

The Premier 1300 has a full-color 10″ touch screen display, larger than the 7″ one found on the Premier 900 model.

You can check out all of your workout stats as well as surf the web, check your social pages, watch videos or whatever else you like to do online as it is fully web enabled.

iFit Enabled

Like most of the other ProForm treadmills these days, the 1300 comes with iFit capability. This is a fully immersive fitness experience that allows you to track and share all of your results and take advantage of limitless personalized workouts from expert trainers.

The best part of all is you can choose any destination in the world via Google maps and the treadmill will automatically adjust itself to match the terrain. A very cool feature.

Keep in mind there is a monthly or yearly fee to be an iFit member, but it is well worth it for what you get.

Strong Motor/Large Deck

The Premier 1300 comes with a very powerful, yet quiet 3.5 CHP motor (up from 3.0 on the 900) and a 20″ x 60″ deck (up from 20″ x 55″ on the 900) which gives you plenty of room to run.

Usually this combination of strong motor and large deck will cost you a lot more money. So it’s really a great value here.

Other Great Features

The ProForm Premier 1300 is packed with additional great features including an adjustable tablet holder, advanced cushioning, Space Saver design and easy folding, iPod compatibility for your music, up to a 12% incline, 34 built in workout apps, a CoolAire fan and a very generous warranty.

Drawbacks

Deck Size

Although not a deal breaker, the deck size on the Premier 900 is only 55″ wide, which is not ideal for larger individuals. Both the Sport 7.5 and the uplevel Premier 1300 come with 60″ wide belts…something to consider if you are on the larger/taller side.

Conclusions

The ProForm Premier 1300 is a great choice for those that want a feature packed treadmill without having to pay a lot of money.

It bridges the gap between the Sport series and Pro series quite nicely, giving you the best of both worlds.

Between the 1300 and the 900, we believe the 1300 is a better value. Although it is a few hundred dollars more when it’s on sale, you get a larger deck, better motor, bigger display and a better warranty, among other enhanced features.

Either way, you can’t go wrong with the ProForm Premier series.
