Smooth 6.75 Folding Treadmill Features

Display Info:

With this treadmill you’ll have 1 LCD window and 12 Alpha numeric displays to follow: speed, time, distance, incline, calories burned and heart rate.

The console allows you to make any settings changes you want by using Incline Up/ Down, Speed Up/ Down, Start/ Stop, Mode and Reset. By pressing Mode, you are free to select the function that you want to be displayed on the center LCD window or you can scan all functions with the Scan button.

A notable advantage of this console is that you can enter gender, weight and age, thus receiving accurate feedback according to your own body characteristics.

Heart Rate Readings:Wireless Chest Strap

The best and easiest way to monitor heart rate is to use the Heart Rate Chest Strap. Make sure you center the transmitter strap right below the breast or pectoral muscles. Adjust the strap so it stays in place. This is a cool method to read your heart rate because it leaves you hands-free during workout.

But you can opt for the handgrips, if you find it easier and more comfortable.

Just make sure you keep your hands still for about 15 seconds before you receive your results.

Workouts:

The Smooth 6.75 comes with 12 preset workouts, of which 5 Speed programs, 5 Incline workouts, 2 Distance programs and an additional Target Heart Rate program.

Speed programs automatically change speed throughout the workout. You can manually set the incline which will remain constant throughout the workout, unless you modify it.

For Incline programs, the incline is modified by the console. The user can set the speed to the desired level, while the incline is controlled by the program.

For the Distance programs, 3ML and 6ML, the user can set the speed, while the incline is controlled by the console.

The Target Heart Rate program controls speed and incline, in order to keep the target heart rate constant. To set the Target Heart Rate program, you must enter workout time, age and target heart rate. Use the heart rate chest strap for this workout. This is the only program that allows inserting your personal info.

How this should work: At the beginning you have a 3 minute warm-up at 2 mph. Then the computer starts comparing your actual heart rate every 15 seconds. If heart rate is less than target, speed is increased by 0.2 (miles or km). Incline starts changing to when speed is changed by 5 times, with 1 increment.
If the heart rate is greater than target heart rate, speed is decreased and incline also.

If the speed reaches max target speed, it will not change any more, even if heart rate is less than target.

If computer can’t read heart rate in 30 seconds, treadmill ends workout automatically.

You also have user setup programs which offer the possibility for the user to customize workout programs according to personal requirements. Scroll through programs to get to User 1 or User 2 and press Mode. Set workout time and press Mode.
