Jump on the belt when it’s at full speed
One of the common mistakes people do when they workout on the treadmill is to jump on the machine when this is at full speed. This move can produce serious injuries – so don’t ever do it.
Begin by standing on each side of the treadmill. It’s better to start the machine when you are not on the belt. This will not force the engine and will prolong the machine’s life. Start the treadmill at the lowest speed possible and step on it.
Before starting the workout make sure you have the emergency halt switch at hand.
After you get on the treadmill and you walk at a comfortable pace you can increase the speed. Do not increase speed suddenly and be careful to not be taken by surprise.
