NordicTrack Reflex TR Treadmill Review

A friend of ours who is a professional trainer bought this treadmill for himself a few weeks ago. We’ve been so curious to see how it goes that we asked him to let us test is for one week. After completing our tests we have put together this review to help you decide if this treadmill is for you too or not.

NordicTrack Reflex TR is a five star rated treadmill. It stands in front of as a professional treadmill not only for the features and functions installed, but mostly with its impressive warranty.

When you get a lifetime warranty for motor and frame it’s hard not to believe that NordicTrack keeps its promises when marketing this treadmill. This would be the 1st plus we noted (and one of the most important aspects in a treadmill specs sheet, if you ask us).
Another important point is the Reflex Cushion System installed to back the 3.5 DURX Commercial PRO Motor and the 20”-60” Commercial Grade Belt. These 3 elements make the treadmill one of the most pleasant treadmills to train on. Why? Because the machine is designed to protect your joints at any training intensity level.

And let’s not forget the console. This treadmill comes with a 7” Flat screen with speakers. This feature allows: watching TV during training; or following workout progress and other details (like carbs burnt, heart rate); or connecting your iPOD/MP3 and listen to music. The console includes a 7 x 15 workout matrix to show progress and next goals in the chosen program.

But all these features cost money. The machine is rated today at $2,999 if you buy it from the NordicTrack site. This is not a small price to pay but if you do have the money, the machine specs can make a very strong argument to moving forward with the purchase.

Not sure what differentiates this from the Nordic Track 1500 commercial which I have had for about 2 1/2 years. Bought at Costco for only $800 it performs like any professional model I have ever run on. I can do intervals, hills, etc. Never a problem. Appears to be very close to the same machine in most aspects. And if fact the 1500 looks to be built better. Steel frame etc.

    Hi Scott,

It’s very probable to be true. We never tried the 1500 model. If you know the features from the 1500 model but you notice some improvements on this one then you have the same treadmill but as a new model.

It’s great to hear you’ve had a good experience with the 1500 model (and the price was good too for 2 1/2 years ago, altough still not little money).

    All the best,
