The Star Trac S-TRx is a treadmill built for serious runners who are looking for a commercial-quality machine. It’s well-constructed, boasts a strong, quiet motor and has a shock-absorbing cushioning system to minimize joint pain. Let’s take a closer look at the Pros and Cons.
A machine this solid has to have a powerful motor, and it does. It can support incredibly intense workouts. The belt is commercial-grade, which means it’s suitable for taller or heavier users, so no worries in this regard.
Star Trac introduced a cushioning system that works extremely well. After a Dynamic Heart Rate Control program, we do feel exhausted, but there is no pain, no stress, no injury. Working out on a machine this sturdy is a true pleasure (although you will sweat a lot)
When it comes down to workouts, there’s plenty of challenge. The built-in programs are designed to push you forward and increase your performance notably. Heart Rate workouts provide intense cardio. Interval exercises are awesome. Heart and muscles adapt to the increases and decreases by using stored calories for energy. By using Advanced Workouts, we felt our cardio improve with each workout. It’s not easy, but effects are just great.
Feedback is easy to read, the console has a nice slick design and incline and speed are easy to alter. But most of all, you can pre-program workouts by inserting weight, age and gender, which ensures accurate feedback and personalized training.
The warranty is pretty good, not great, but with this construction that should not be an issue for you.
The cushioning system does a great job in keeping users safe and injury free, even during highest intensities. This cushion ensures maximum shock absorption- our experience so far has proven it.
The console allows users to pre-program workouts so that they customize training and feedback.
For those interested in a little entertaining, there is a 15 inch LCD display, which is pretty cool, for extra entertainment.
The console integrates 2 personal fans that enable speed adjustability and guarantee your safety. Also, it helps the motor live longer.
This is a heavy machine, so don’t be a daredevil trying to get it into the house all on your own. Other than that, there is nothing we can complain about. This treadmill is an A-Plus for sure.
The Star Trac S-TRc is more powerful for $400 more, so you may want to check that one out as well.
