Bowflex TreadClimber TC200 Review

Overview
UPDATE: As of mid 2021 it appears that the Bowflex TreadClimbers have been discontinued and replaced by all new Bowflex treadmills. Check them as an alternative.
The Bowflex TreadClimber TC200 joins its little sister TC100 as the two brand new versions of the popular elliptical/treadmill/stepper hybrid machines first introduced a short time ago.
Geared towards those who want to walk their way to fitness, it offers calorie-burning workouts in a short amount of time, ideal for those who don’t want to spend hours on a cardio machine to achieve results.
If you’re looking for a compact machine that can help you lose weight and get into shape, the TC200 is a great choice.

Bowflex TC200 - Pros
Enhanced Tracking
The Bowflex TreadClimber TC200 has advanced workout tracking capability via the built-in Bluetooth capability.
Everything you do on the machine is synced with the TreadClimber App, which in turn shares this information with popular fitness apps such as My Fitness Pal, Apple Health, Google Fit and the company’s own Bowflex Connect. You can monitor your results, set goals for yourself and much more.
Heart Rate Monitoring
The TC200 features a Heart Rate Zone Light Bar which shows you exactly what zone you are in while you work out: Warm-Up, Fat Burn, Cardio or Performance.
You can use the contact grips or the included chest strap for even more accuracy. This is great for getting the most out of your workouts. Keep in mind that the TC100 does not include the wireless chest strap
Compact Design
One of the most appealing features of all of the TreadClimbers is their compact design, which makes them ideal for the home gym.
The TC200 is only 55″ long, and even though it is shorter than the TC100 the treadles are actually longer which makes for a more comfortable stride, especially for taller users.
These machines are almost half as long as your typical elliptical or treadmill.
Other Great Features
The TC200 comes with 5 different workout programs, a large interactive LCD display, an enhanced media shelf with USB charger, and a max weight capacity of 300 lbs.
Bowflex TC200 - Cons
Subpar Warranty
Although the TreadClimbers are well-designed and relatively problem free, the TC200 only has a 3 year warranty which isn’t ideal.
It is better than the two year warranty on the TC100, but still could be much better.
Strictly For Walking
If you think you might want to jog or run, then this is not the machine for you.
The maximum speed on the TC200 is 4.5mph, which is a brisk walk. You’ll definitely burn calories and sweat, but you won’t be moving very fast.
No Internet Functionality
Although the TC200 has a lot more syncing capability than the TC100, you still can’t access the internet on the machine itself, which would have been nice given its $3000+ price tag.
Perhaps they will add a touch screen with web capability on future models.
Bowflex TC200 Review - Conclusion
The TreadClimbers continue to be very popular, and remain one of the biggest sellers for Bowflex despite their high price tags.
That’s because they are compact, easy to use and get the job done without you having to run or even jog to burn up calories.
You get 3 machines in one: an elliptical trainer, a treadmill and a stepper, so you’re combining the best of all of those worlds in one low impact machine.
Check out the new TC200 TreadClimber model at the Bowflex store where they often have great sales and see if it’s the right choice for you.
If you want to save a little bit of money, the TC100 is about $1000 cheaper, but it doesn’t have many of the features and capabilities of the TC200.
Both are on the expensive side, but as we mentioned, most user reviews have been quite positive so you’ll likely be very pleased with your purchase. Plus they have a money back guarantee in case you are not.
