Pros
Strong Motor
The 3.0 HP continuous duty motor is ideal for walking, jogging, and running. The motor is also very quiet, which makes it convenient for you to listen to music or watch TV while working out.
Generous Track Size
This is a much-needed upgrade from the base model Delray, which only has a 55″ track. The 60″ length is sufficient for runners and taller individuals.
Workout Programs
The Delray Plus has a total of 15 built-in workout programs. It also has memory slots to record the age, weight, and fitness level of seven different individuals. So, it can be used by the whole family which is a nice feature.
Heart Rate Tracking
The transmitter belt, which is included in the package, tracks your heart rate during your training sessions. By tracking your heart rate accurately, you can stay in the right zone and get better, faster results.
Music Port
The machine has a music port, which is a standard feature on all Delray treadmills. It has an MP3 audio jack and built-in speaker components. Since the motor is quiet, you can listen to your favorite tracks without any jarring noise in the background.
Console with Plenty of Accessories
The console has an easy-to-read LCD display, a USB charging port, a tablet rack, and a bottle holder. It also has Express Speed and Incline buttons, which allow you to adjust the speed and incline instantly.
Swing Arm Suspension Cushioning
The Swing Arm Suspension allows the entire deck to move while you run. Since the impact is absorbed over a large surface area, the strain on your knees, hips, and back is reduced considerably. So, the surface is very comfortable to train on – even for people with joint problems.
Excellent Warranty
Yowza is known for its claim of ‘best in class’ warranty and the Delray Plus lives up to the claim. The motor and frame are covered by a lifetime warranty. And the treadmill outclasses most of the machines in its price range with the five-year parts and electronics warranty and the two-year labor warranty.
Cons
Basic Display
The Delray Plus has an LCD display, the same as the base model. A slight upgrade would have been nice, considering the increase in price tag.
This does not, however, affect your workout performance in any way and should not be a problem for most users.
Conclusion
The Yowza Delray Plus is a quality treadmill with a nice suite of features. It costs slightly more than the base model and comes with a larger motor, longer running track, a slightly thicker tread belt, and excellent warranty. Yowza is also known for its top notch customer service. So, it really is a very good machine that offers great value for your money.
The lack of decline training option, however, could bother some of you. In that case, you could look at other options like NordicTrack C 1650 and ProForm Pro 2000. For a slightly higher price tag, both these machines offer a great set of features including a 3.5 CHP motor and 3% decline option.
