Mistake no. 2: Holding Onto The Handrail Or Console

When first using a treadmill most beginners have the tendency to hold the handrails in order to gain stability. This is fine for the first 2-3 sessions it’s for sure an incorrect way to walk or run.

Holding onto the handrails doesn’t allow moving correctly the arms, in a natural way or achieving strong stride. This mistake reflects in a wrong walking posture and decreases workout efficiency.

Look at professional athletes running. Now imagine such athlete running in the park without moving his hands. I’m sure you agree it looks very strange and unnatural.

Learn to run correctly even if this means moving at a slower speed for a certain period. By exercising correctly you will do a better training session even if speed is lower.
