Treadmill Workouts – Mistake No.1

One of the common mistakes people do when they workout on the treadmill is to jump on the machine when this is at full speed. This move can produce serious injuries – so don’t ever do it.

You should begin by standing with one foot on each side of the treadmill. It’s better to start the machine when you are not on it. This will not force the engine and will longer the machine’s life. Start the treadmill but at the lowest speed possible and only after that step on.

Before starting the workout observe the speed of the machine and very important: notice where the emergency halt switch is located (especially if you work out on a new treadmill).

After you get on the treadmill and you walk at comfortable pace you can increase the speed. Do not do this suddenly and be careful to no be taken by surprise in case you set a high speed.
