The Right Place For A Treadmill
So, you bought yourself a treadmill. You spent all you economies on a solid but elegant machine and you are ready to start burning some miles. Now another question comes up: where should you install this training machine so you can start working out as soon as possible?
For start be sure sure to avoid the basement. Yes I know you were thinking that you would build your own small gym in the basement and there you would have your little quite place. But we don’t recommend it because what is out of sight is out of mind (especially if you are a beginner). With your treadmill downstairs, you’re less likely to use it.
Always put the machine in front of a window so you can have a source of fresh air. Also the light and the fact that you can see outside will create a better training environment.
Let’s face it – treadmill training can be very boring. So, put your new training partner near a sound system or near a TV. If you can, put some posters on the wall for motivational purposes.
It’s also recommended to have some mirrors in the training room. You can use the mirrors to monitor your posture and form.
In the end remember that during treadmill workouts you will sweat a lot. So try to put the treadmill in a room with less traffic and a good ventilation system. You can also use some candles or room refreshments to counteract the sweaty air.
