Question:
I need a treadmill that has a lot of cushioning as I am heavy and my knees get sore. What do you reccomend?

Answer:
We recommend the following treadmills, depending on the budget you have to spend:

$1000 budget – LifeSpan 1200i is the right choice.

$1500 budget – Sole F80 would be our choice because it has adjustable cushion system and you can modify it as you feel comfortable.

$2000 budget – We warmly recommend the Precor 9.27. Precor has patented cushion systems installed with all their treadmills and they are worth every penny. If you have more than $2000 to spend, you can always choose a Precor treadmill with the Foot Plant technology included (these are the 3.1, 3.3 and 3.5 models)

We are always available to help. So please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have more questions.

Question:
How do you fold a NordicTrack C2150 treadmill?

Answer:
This is an older model and the folding process is different than on the new models.

Set incline to 0%, remove the key and unplug the treadmill.

Then hold the metal frame and raise the treadmill about halfway.

With one hand hold the treadmill and with the other one pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Then continue to raise the treadmill until the pin is between the frame and the foot rail. Finally, release the latch knob.

This process may be hard for one person. In order to prevent injuries, take a second person to help you.

And make sure the frame is held securely!

The unfold process for C2155 is similar to to how it works on most NordicTrack treadmills

- Make sure you hold the treadmill with one hand
- Pull the knob to the left. You may need to push the frame forward while you do this move.

Question:
How can I make sure the belt is not too tighten? What do I need to do?

Answer
The belt has the right tension if it doesn’t slip while you walk on run on it. If you feel any slippage, you must make some adjustments.

Each tread belt should have 2 adjustment screws (positioned like in the photo)

Turn both the left and the right tread belt adjustment screws 1/2 or 1/4 turn clockwise.

If the belt is too close to the right side or to the left side, you must make adjustments to each adjustment screws.

Walk on the treadmill to see how it fells after each change.

If you make adjustments and nothing happens, than you need to call a technician.

I have a treadclimber tc1000 and am not sure how to adjust it from a regular walking treadmill to a treadclimber?

Question: :I have a treadclimber tc1000 and am not sure how to adjust it from a regular walking treadmill to a treadclimber?

Answer:

First, make sure you disconnect the treadmill from the power source.

Next step is to lock together the treadles from the treadles-locking lever. The lever is in front of the treadclimber. When you use it in treadclimber mode, the lever is down.

If you want to use the machine in treadmill mode, you must change the lever position up. The lever must be moved downward, then left, then upward. You can do this with your foot.

Next, step on each treadle individually until it goes in horizontal position. When you hear a click it’s all done.

Question:

How do I unfold my NordicTrack treadmill?

Answer:

I will tell you how we unfold the NordicTrack A2750 PRO. If you have another treadmill and these details don’t apply for yours, let us know.

First make sure you hold tight the upper end of the treadmill. If you need help, ask someone to hold it for you.

You should have a latch knob on the bar that sustains the treadmill in folding mode. From this position pull the latch knob to the right and hold it.

In some cases you have to push the frame forward as you pull the knob to the right. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob.

Then lower the deck slowly.

Pay attention to not hurt your back.

Keep us posted!

I would like to get a tech out here to give it a good cleaning and lubricating, but I don't know where to find one (Carson City, Nevada).

Question:

I have a 8-year-old HealthRider R60 treadmill that worked fine for me until I had to stop using it about three years ago. My doctor has finally(!) given me the OK to start using it again.

I’ve dusted it off and it seems to operate properly, but I can’t help but think that it should be given some tender loving maintenance to keep it running well.

It would seem there would be a ready market for belt and belt bed conditioners or lubricants. Can you recommend any?

I would like to get a tech out here to give it a good cleaning and lubricating, but I don’t know where to find one (Carson City, Nevada).

Can you recommend a home-luvin’ maintenance routine for my reliable (so far) R60?

Answer:

I am very happy you have your doctor’s OK to start exercising. This is great news.

Regarding your question, you can look in our Yellow Pages database and see if the repairs shops we found are near you or they can send a techical to your home to review the treadmill.

The Nevada resources are at this URL http://www.runreviews.com/resources/city/NV/6/

Our expertize with treadmills over 3 years is very limited, so it’s best to consult a specialist.

Another tip I can offer you is to call the customer support from HealthRider/Icon Fitness and ask about their lubricants offer.

Keep us posted!
