Conclusions For Weslo Cadence C44 Treadmill Review

This was a sad day for us. After testing some of the best machines on the market we received the Cadence C44 unit. And we are sad to say that is one of the weakest machines we have ever seen.

We could simply say: Don’t even think to buy it! But we want to give you some explanations for our negative reaction.

Let’s start with the assembly system: it was a nightmare. Some of the handrail holes are not drilled in the proper spots and we wastes a lot of time trying to get this review started.

The top speed of this machine is 10 mph. A decent value you may say but at 10 mph you have the feeling that the whole assemble will collapse. A running session feels like doing extreme sports.

The incline system comes with 3 preset values: 3, 6 and 9 %. This mechanism worked when we tested them but we are not sure it will happen again in the future.

The motor is not powerful at all and the running area is very narrow.

For speeds up to 7 mph this unit manages to do a decent job. Over 7 mph it starts shaking and producing strange noises. Btw, the noise level is pretty high and annoying.

We came to these conclusions from day one. In the second day we started with a short walking workout. All good but when we decided to jog the motor collapsed. And this was the end of our review process since we didn’t think it was worth the effort of fixing it and starting again.

When our unit broke down we looked over warranty conditions. Now we can honestly say that this is one of the worst deals we’ve done so far. We got one year for motor and 90 days for parts and labor.

As a Conclusion for Weslo Cadence C44 treadmill: this unit is a very good one … for dog training. If you have a Labrador and it’s too cold outside you can let him use this machine instead of taking him out for a walk in the cold.

Attention: this treadmill is not indicated for big dogs or humans.
DO NOT BUY IT!

Conclusions for Horizon T900 Treadmill Review

Before sharing with you the conclusions for this review we would like to tell you a short story about how manufacturers and retailers play with your money. This is also called marketing.

If you go to Horizon site you see this unit listed at $2199. When we saw this price we expected a super-duper machine. We were ready to start testing this treadmill when we decided to look also at dickssportinggoods.com – the only retailer for this machine.

And..Surprise!..They had the machine listed at $1099 ($2199 was listed as the “old” price). This is half the price listed by Horizon.

They’ve tried to trick us by making us think we’ve found a fantastic deal and we can buy a 2k machine for half of its price. If the percent for the discount was lower we would have fallen for it but in this case it’s very hard to do so…

So, before posting our conclusion, let’s get one thing cleared. The value of the machine is, in fact, $1099. It is not $2199, how Horizon claims and if they really want to list this treadmill at this price it would be very hard to sell it.

Now, for the $1099 price we have a good machine. The motor comes with 2.5 CHP, it’s powerful and backed by a lifetime warranty. Also, the noise level is decent.

The running area has 55 inches length, although we expected at least 60 inches. Oh… wait, this is not a $2199 machine…

The cushioning system is a Variable 4-zone version that provides great comfort and superior protection.

The only thing that differentiates this machine from the other $1000 Horizon treadmills is the sound system and the iPod dock. The speakers are not the best you can find but they provide a decent sound and they do their job.

There are 13 built in workouts that cover all training areas monitored by the eTRACK system. As the warranty is not a very good one go for the extended version if you decide to purchase this unit.

As a conclusion for the Horizon T900 Treadmill we say that besides the dumb marketing move made by dickssportinggoods.com and Horizon, this is a good to buy machine. For the $1099 price you get an easy to fold treadmill that can satisfy all light users.
