We are glad to have purchased the Sole F85. Not only this machine works extremely well, and satisfyingly quiet at low speeds, but it also insures your safety, no matter how intensely you want to go. There are a few small cons, but they are by far offset by all the advantages.

Pros

We were impressed by the innovative 22 inch belt, which is a major advantage for every user, amateur or professional. As a wide belt can only be backed up by a serious motor, the F85 incorporates a powerful motor that runs smoothly at highest speeds. This may be the most powerful motor there is for in-home use. In this department, Sole F85 is a top notch treadmill.

So does in the longevity department. Rollers can somehow tell how long your treadmill will live. Sole F85 reliefs us from any doubt. The large rollers help the motor run almost silently at low speeds and insure a prolonged usage of this machine. Also, the belt will live long. Once again, 5 stars.

Speed and inclines adjustments isn’t a problem. F85 lets you run smoothly while making any adjustments by using handlebar controls. For us, this has been one of the key perks of this machine, especially since we’re training for a summer marathon.

The display gives you all information at once, which we appreciate. We find it a bit bothersome to press and scroll, mostly during high intensity workouts. This display takes this burden off of you.

Main attraction

First of all, this treadmill is seriously heavy. It’s almost as heavy as a commercial model. So you see, you’ll be getting amazing quality, AND folding options, which is crazy when you think about it. But it’s the truth, and moreover, folding is quite effortless. The Easy Assist feature works excellently.

Those users who are cardio enthusiasts will be more than happy to know that this treadmill comes with a chest strap included in the price.

And to wrap it up, an impressive warranty guarantees a long and happy usage of this treadmill.

Drawbacks

Since it’s a very heavy machine, don’t think not even for a second that you’ll be able to move it around on your own. We recommend you to find its place before getting it inside and try to move it as seldom as possible.

The speakers don’t excel as far as quality goes. Actually, they are a bit below medium quality. It’s up to you how serious you think this problem is. For us, it’s not something to think about for too long.

And to link them all together into what we believe is a notable treadmill, Sole introduced a cushion system that keeps our feet, ankles, hips and spine injury free even during toughest programs.

A challenging treadmill should always come with a proper display. The F65 display is build to help users get quick and easy feedback on their performance, but this is not all. There’s a message window that enables workout summaries once you’re finished, which is extremely helpful especially for users planning to lose the extra weight.

Speed and incline are easy to alter. This unit incorporates speed and incline controls in the armrests area. This feature has been very useful to us, especially during high incline and speed intervals.

Pros

The reasons why you should check out this model are quite a few. First off, the motor can back up walking and jogging, it is sturdy and durable. But it is not the quietest and it is less sturdy than the F80, which is quite normal given the price (and the users target they try to approach).

The belt is more than enough for walking and jogging, but shorter than what a runner would need. The perk with this machine is that it sustains more lbs than other units of the same price category, which is a major plus for heavy users.

You have speed and incline control on the siderails, which is a great advantage during more intense workouts. It is nice being able to keep up the effort during tough workouts without having to make all kinds of impossible movements to reach the console and alter speed and incline.

The display makes feedback reading quite easy and it also offers some workout variety and entertainment.
You get to enter age and weight which is desirable for weight loss workouts. We always feel drawn by treadmills that have this option. Results are accurate and performance increases.

Drawbacks

This treadmill sounds quite good, but there are some disadvantages. Sole F83 is a good example of power, durability and also stability. It’s a treadmill that we recommend, but we do have an addition. This model would have stood up if there were no F80 and F85. With few bucks less, about $200, you can get the F80 that is equally functional and comfortable, just doesn’t have the extra entertainment and some other dispensable features. Or you can buy the F85 for $200 more that would give you a stronger motor and more functional diversity.

Still, F83 has some notable traits that would make this model a good purchase and will offer the workout you need. It’s suited for runners of most sizes and strides due to the running surface that is above average.

The thing with folding treadmills is that they don’t offer stability. In spite of this general characteristic, the F83 gives you both. It’s nice to be given this effective compromise between power and stability and the option to fold the machine when you’re not using it.

The motor provides high torque and keeps your workouts going even at 12 mph. It felt great to raise incline to 15% and still enjoy a sturdy motor. First of all Sole F80 has a fantastic warranty. You realize that this machine is a very good one just by looking at the warranty. You get lifetime for motor, deck and frame and 5 years for things like electronics or belt.

The console has a nice design, pleasant display and with six built in workouts. What we especially like is that the 2 built in fans blow enough air to cool you down during training.

The machine is very quiet during workouts. At the end of the training you can easily fold it and store it in a different place.

Based on our experience, we could say that the Sole S77 is one of the best units available on the market today., but it seems that we were lucky with our model. Other users haven’t been so lucky (read readers’ reviews and comments at the end).

While we tested it, the treadmill ensured a smooth ride and it coped well with 2 hours running sessions daily.  What we particularly enjoyed was the HRC workout program, when the treadmill monitored the heart rate and it automatically adjusted incline to help keep the heart rate at a pre-determined level. We didn’t notice any instability in the frame or belt.
