Display Features

An 8-inch oversized backlit display allows you to clearly see your stats when running or walking uphill or downhill at any pace on the Smooth 760 treadmill. It shows calories burned, heart rate, speed, distance, and time; a must for anyone serious about recording performance and tracking goals. For those who like the track, the track display shows you how far you’ve run and provides constant tracking of your position on the track, while displaying your distance and average speed. This feature is great for anyone who likes to visually see or know where he or she is at while running.

Workouts

Customize your workout by choosing from 32 options ranging in specifics from pace control to cardio and weight loss.

Speed, Incline, and Decline Controls

Control the speed, incline, and decline of all 32 workouts easily with 1-stepTM control; this allows you to control the speed of the belt and the incline or decline of the deck with your pace and stride. The 760 allows you to work at speeds up to 12mph by virtue of its 3.25 CHP motor, while providing an incline and decline range of -3% – 15%.

Heart Rate Info

Health professionals maintain that different age groups have different ideal heart rates for fat burn and weight loss. For more controlled heartrate monitoring, you can use the Polar® wireless chest strap, which enables constant heart rate monitoring, or you can use the sensors on the handrails to monitor your heart rate intermittently.

Cushioned Deck

Any kind of running, whether on a treadmill, track, or trail, puts pressure on joints and ligaments in your ankles, knees, and hips. Improved cushioning on the Smooth 760 treadmill helps to alleviate this pressure by providing a smoother, softer running surface. If you prefer the track, however, you can still get the virtual experience via the display screen.

iPod Compatibility/iFit integration

The screen deck is also iPod compatible, so you can jam to your favorite tunes without the annoyance of headphones falling out or cords catching on the handrails. This ensures you fully enjoy all 32 workout apps. The diversity in workout options allows you to choose the best workout for your fitness goals, whether they involve weight loss, pace training, or simple cardio.

As part of ICON fitness as of 2015, Smooth treadmills now have iFit technology, which allows you to mimic running anywhere in the world via Google map integration, and gives you access to endless customized workout programs and tracking features. It’s not free, but in our opinion well worth the subscription cost.

Weight Capacity and Space Saving

The 760 can accommodate up to 350 pounds, but it’s no heavyweight. Its lightweight components and innovative manufacturing allow it to fold up and out of the way on a moment’s notice, and easily move to storage on its roller wheels. Its warranty includes lifetime for the frame and motor, five years for parts, and two years for labor.
