The NordicTrack S3000 Institutional treadmill is a perfect training machine for those who train longer periods of time or run in marathons.

It comes with an extremely powerful 5.0 CHP motor, a long belt and a very solid and stable frame and it supports a maximum user weight of 400 lbs, which is more than what regular treadmills offer.

Still, this treadmill has no entertainment features. There is no TV, mp3 dock or sound system. We don’t consider this a bad thing keeping in mind the machine is built for those who take training very serious and focus only on running.

This treadmill is considered by “Runners” one of the top machines ever built for runners and joggers. And they are right; this is a superb machine.

The S3000 treadmill reaches a maximum speed of 12 mph that can be adjusted by sliding your finger to the preferred value. Adjustments are made via the ZipSpeed system and can increment the value by 1%.

2. Inclination
The incline system is called ZipIncline and it’s similar to the ZipSpeed system. The incline can be adjusted by simply sliding your finger. The increment value is 1%. The incline range is 0-12%.

3. Motor
The NordicTrack S3000 Treadmill comes with an exceptional 5.0 CHP Commercial DurX Motor. The motor has a built in fan to cool internal motor components and ensure a longer treadmill life.

4. The Belt
The machine has incorporated a heavy duty belt that allows long strides and offers plenty of room. The belt comes with the Durasoft Adjustable™ Cushioning system for better protection and comfort.

5. Warranty
The NordicTrack S3000 has a life warranty for motor and gives a 4 year warranty for rollers, 2 years for parts and 1 year for the belt.

iFit Ready
The NordicTrack S3000 is iFit ready and gives you the possibility to use the programmed workouts from iFit cards. Each iFit workout is built by a personal trainer. This is an excellent extension to the programs already installed by default.

It supports a maximum user weight of 400lbs.

This is one of the best machines for its class. We don’t accept any criticism. It has a monster motor capable to keep up with a heavy runner during a marathon. The belt is large and long enough to accommodate taller or larger persons. And you have a ton of workouts to choose from.

It doesn’t have any entertainment features, fancy display or built in fans but compensates with the stability and the perfect running experience it offers.

This treadmill is very heavy. If you plan to buy it online you should buy the turnkey delivery and setup package. Otherwise you may encounter some problems when assembling the machine.

As a final note: This machine is for serious runners. It can keep up with 2-3 hours of training sessions done by a heavy person. If until now you were not sure to buy it or not our recommendation is to go with this option! You have nothing to lose!
