It&#039;s very probable to be true. We never tried the 1500 model. If you know the features from the 1500 model but you notice some improvements on this one then you have the same treadmill but as a new model. 

It&#039;s great to hear you&#039;ve had a good experience with the 1500 model (and the price was good too for 2 1/2 years ago, altough still not little money).

Bought at Costco for only $800 it performs like any professional model I have ever run on.  I can do intervals, hills, etc.  Never a problem.  Appears to be very close to the same machine in most aspects.  And if fact the 1500 looks to be built better.  Steel frame etc.</description>
