@Roger - Thank you so much for the comment. We hope you will solve the belt problems soon. We had the opportunity to run on many impressive treadmills for them, but we would not recommend them all for serious runners. NordicTrack has only home use equipment, so you will not see it in the gym for sure. But you can see from Icon other brands in gyms, like FreeMotion.

I have owned this machine for 2 years and have had nothing but issues. I had spoken to many serious runners and had been advised against Nordictrack, but was taken in by all the bells and whistles. The only saving grace is that I had purchased the extended warranty which I have used on 4 occasions. First problem I had is that the machine would not work at all, the problem was the console needed to be replaced. Second problem was that the belt continued to slip (which is extremely dangerous while running), the roller bar needed to be replaced. Third problem was that the console would not show program display or calories and the speed given on the console was not matching the output (I could easily walk at 6mph). The console needed to be replaced again. Went to use it this afternoon and the belt is slipping again. When I had a conversation with the technician from the warranty company he had no problem telling me that Nordictrack keeps him very busy, and they are not very dependable machines. I know they look sexy with the TV's, fan, ipod doc etc., but don't fall victim. I'm not sure how Nordictrack got so much positive market awarness, but they are not a good machine period. Take a look next time you are in a gym or health club you will never see there name on anything.

Love this machine!!!! Very heavy, solidly built, great features, monster machine!!!! I have had two other treadmills and this one is the best I have seen. It is just as solidly built as what I have seen in the gyms and have more options. I recommend this treadmill. Just one tip; if you order it have them deliver it into the house. It is a monster; very heavy, very big. The box it came in was about 4' x 4' x 8'.
