@Amanda - Unfortunately, we haven't met with this situation before. You should contact the Icon Fitness technical department for assistance. And please let us know what they tell you. We are curious to know why the console would behave so strange.

I have this treadmill...love it, except a few weeks ago the belt started slipping, we tightened the belt and it worked for a day or so...now with the correct tension the belt does not move, motor runs and everything on the display works as if I'm actually walking or running on it, but absolutely no belt movement. I've only had the machine for 7 mths...any suggestions?

@ A. - Thank you for your comment. We had good experiences with some models from Icon Fitness and when needed, the Custom Support team was very helpful. You definitely had bad luck and we understand your point of view completely. Hopefully, Icon will take action fast. Let us know if you can use the warranty to have a replacement or a refund. This should be the professional way to handle these types of unpleasant situations, after a technical team comes to your home to make the expertise and clear what is wrong with the treadmill. Keep us posted.

I bought my NordicTrack Commercial 1500 thinking I was getting a professional grade treadmill only to have nothing but trouble with it since I got it. It’s like having a British sports car, you’re fixing it more than you’re using it! The first month I had it the control console started acting up with first the elevation buttons going out and then the speed buttons failing one by one over the next few weeks. Finally, nothing was working. ICON owns several fitness brands including NordicTrack and after fighting with them for months, they finally sent me a new console which I had to install myself. Next the belt started slipping .. and then badly to where it could not be adjusted so the entire machine became unusable. Despite numerous attempts to contact ICON, I couldn’t even get a response from them. In exasperation, I have begun a campaign to publically expose this poor product in hopes that other consumers will be spared the aggravation I have had with both the substandard NordicTrack product and trying to deal with ICON, Inc.

My advice: Don’t go near the NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill and probably none of the ICON product line which in addition to NordicTrack also includes FreeMotion Fitness, ProForm, Weider, HealthRider, EPIC, Image, iFit, and Weslo. You’re Welcome!

@David - If you just bought this treadmill, it means you purchased the 2011 model. We reviewed also the new model - http://www.runreviews.com/nordictrack-treadmills/nordictrack-commercial-1500-treadmill-review-2011-model/ The pace info is listed only in the old model's console (which is this detailed in this review). The 2011 model returns details only about the number of feet climbed. About the noise you described, it appears the belt needs to be centered or tightened. I recommend the manual to see how to do this. Happy running and keep us posted!

I bought this treadmill a few days ago. It's very heavy, so make sure you have 2 good sized guys to unload (especially going up and down stairs) and set up. It seems to be nice so far, but I do have a clunking sound each time my foot hits the platform when running (I'm 170 lbs). Almost like something is loose and bottoming out when my full weight impacts.

I'm sure it's just me but I cant seem to find where it lists my pace (minutes/mile), any tips on finding this?
