The NordicTrack brand (http://www.nordictrack.com/) is owned by Icon Health and Fitness who control also ProForm, Healthrider, Freemotion, Reebok, Image, Weider, Weslo, Epic, Gold's Gym and the iFIT workout technology.
Icon Fitness purchased the original NordicTrack Company a few years ago, when they went bankrupt. Before this takeover, NordicTrack was forced to have a top design since they worked with cheap parts. Now they use better components and look good, but they are still not impeccable.
NordicTrack sells treadmills, ellipticals, incline trainers, exercise bikes, strength equipment, skiers and striders, all residentail products.

As a general opinion, NordicTrack sells decent treadmills, with competitive features at an accessible price. They were the first to add features such as decline and Android touch screen monitors.
They are also famous for the iFIT interactive system that communicates with the user's online account through WI-FI, from where it downloads Google Maps routes and other training programs in the console's memory.
Workouts Diversity:
All treadmills have at least 25 preset workouts saved in the console. Moreover, all models have the iFit cards/IFIT LIVE Module (included or compatible) which allows downloading hundreds of extra workouts.
Incline Trainers:
Incline Trainers are an Icon Fitness trademark. They are popular because they support high incline (up to 40%) and decline (-9%). They give hill intervals another meaning.
Strong Motor Warranty:
You receive lifetime warranty for the motor.
Poor Parts Warranty:
Even if they offer a lifetime warranty for motors, NordicTrack gives only 1 or 2 year warranty for parts and in home labor. The In Home labor warranty is not included in all offers.
Customer Support complaints:
Unfortunately, we have received several complaints from our readers about the customer support delay when assessing their issues with NordicTrack machines. Although we haven't yet experienced any significant failures during our reviews, we have to mark this as a weak point. We will update our opinion following our readers' feedback.
When you decide to purchase a NordicTrack treadmill, check their promotions. They have relevant SALES ongoing almost all the time, and you can find terrific bargains for all their latest models.
The second recommendation is to buy a treadmill with the iFIT LIVE included. It doesn't matter if you get the touch screen system or not (although it's a neat feature). The iFIT LIVE connects you to a large workout variety, which automatically control the treadmill's speed and incline. But, be aware that this service costs after one year.
