We like NordicTrack Elite 7000 treadmill because it’s a heavy duty machine with an impressive list of features and functions.

This machine is made for walking and running but it can also offer you the entertainment environment required to have the most pleasant workout. You get a very good sound system plus 20 various built in workout programs.

The treadmill is equipped with a powerful but quiet DurX 2.5 CHP motor and an advanced cushioning system. We really appreciate the DuraSoft Advanced Adjustable Cushioning because it lets us control the belt and experience a street or beach feel during workouts.

Overall The NordicTrack Elite 7000 treadmill is a powerful and solid training machine with various but also enjoyable training and entertainment features. The price is around $1,300 but this is definitely a good buy.

NordicTrack Elite 7000 Treadmill has a speed range between 0 to 12 mph and it allows you to instantly change the speed by minimum 1mph increment through the 1 Touch-System.

2. Inclination
The Elite 7000 model comes with the 1-Touch™ Incline system. This system allows you to instantly change the incline (with one touch only). The inclination values can be set between 0 and 12 degrees.

3. Motor
This treadmill is powered by a powerful DurX 2.5 HP Commercial Drive Motor. The motor is a premium one and has an internal cooling system to ensure a longer life for the machine.

4. Treadbelt
The machine is equipped with a heavy duty, 2 ply belt which is quieter than normal belts. The belt size is 20″ per 60”.

This is a special cushioning system designed to reduce impact on your joints with 33% (compared with road running). You adjust the belt settings. This way it’s easy to experience a street or beach workout feel.

Polar Wireless Heart Rate Telemetry
This is a heart monitoring system that provides accurate heart readings via contact sensors. There are also two hand grip sensors inserted in the treadmill’s bars.

Intermix Acoustics Sound System
A premium sound system integrated in the treadmill’s console (high end speakers + subwoofer).

20 Personal Trainings
There are 20 built in workouts that automatically adjust speed and incline while focusing on aerobic or weight loss. There are included also 2 ‘create and save’ workouts.

Conclusions

After testing this machine we conclude that NordicTrack have done an excellent job when designing and launching this treadmill. The NordicTrack Elite 7000 is a robust machine with a large variety of training workouts and cool entertainment features.

This treadmill has an iPod dock and an incredible sound system. Yes, the sound system is extraordinary and for us this came as a very pleasant surprise.

As 2 minus points we’ve noted some incompatibilities between the ifit cards and treadmill’s console and that it doesn’t offer a good calorie count. But these small details are not a deal breaker.

As a final conclusion – The NordicTrack Elite 7000 treadmill is an excellent option for regular trainers. For marathon runners we recommend looking for another treadmill version.
