NordicTrack C2155 Treadmill Review

At first glance it seems that the Nordic Track C2155 treadmill is one of the best machines you can buy for under $850 price. It comes with a spacious running zone and adjustable cushioning, pretty good preinstalled workouts, an iFit card slot and an iPod Dock.

The treadmill sound system works well but don’t expect to receive the best quality. You receive the right value for the money paid.

Some users have complained about the CardioGrip™ Heart Rate Monitor not being accurate. We’ve noticed this too and we consider it a serious minus. Another disadvantage is the heaviness of the machine (you cannot move it without at least 2 people).

Overall the machine works very well, is extremely quiet and it’s worth the $800 you pay for it.

1. Speed: 0-10 mph Variable Speed
The C2155 treadmill comes with a quick and accurate way to adjust the speed (1-Touch system). Speed range is between 0 and 10 miles per hour (refine as low as 1/10 MPH).

2. Inclination
This treadmill comes with the 1-Touch system which allows adjusting incline with one touch. The inclination value can be set between 0 and 12 degrees.

3. Motor
This machine is powered by a DurX™ 2.0 CHP Commercial Motor.

4. Treadbelt
C2155 is equipped with a 20″ x 55″ long treadbelt. Nordicktrack installed also their DuraSoft III Adjustable Cushioning system to reduce impact over your joints with 26% up to 33% less than road running. There is also an adjustable absorption system controlled by you.

NordicTrack C2155 Treadmill Special Features

There are 15 Personal workout programs installed that automatically adjust speed and incline of the treadmill. These programs focus on aerobic, weight loss or performance workouts.

The model includes an AutoBreeze Fan system to cool you down during training. The system is composed of two fans with four levels of adjustment each.

The C2155 treadmill offers a fold away feature also known as SpaceSaver design which allows it to be easily folded and stored.

The console has a Grafixx Hi-Resolution Display to see preferred workout information. Along with the usual training info like miles walked and calories burnt the console displays also nice animations like your heart beat or an animated figure walking.

The model supports a maximum weight of 300 lbs.

The following features are also included: Training Zone Indicator, Interplay Universal iPod Dock, iFit Workout Card Technology and Club Design CardioGrip Heart Rate Monitor.

Conclusions For NordicTrack C2155 Treadmill Review

The biggest minus we’ve found for this machine is the montage: it takes around 90 minutes and you need to follow directions included very carefully. Otherwise you have to go back to step 1.

The heart monitor sensor is inaccurate. The machine is heavy and pretty hard to assemble.

But even so for 800$ you get a good treadmill on which you can run enough miles for a long period of time.

In conclusion the C2155 treadmill comes with some nice features but don’t forget it’s still economy equipment. It is recommended to casual runners and not to those who train on a daily basis. Also, we do not recommend it to heavier persons.
