The NordicTrack Apex 4500 Treadmill comes with a new cushioning system which makes this machine one of the most attractive options on the market today. Most treadmills in this class offer advanced shock abortion system but the Apex 4500’s Reflex Deck takes this feature to the next level.

This treadmill comes also with a good motor and attractive built in workouts. The console has a nice design and we love the blue ClearView Backlit Display.

The NordicTrack Apex 4500 treadmill includes the successful iFit workouts card system.

There is also a built in fan to cool you down during heavy workouts sessions.

1. Speed
The NordicTrack Apex 4500 Treadmill reaches a maximum 10 mph speed and it’s easily adjustable with the 1-Touch system.

2. Inclination
This treadmill comes with the 1-Touch system that allows changing easily treadmill’s incline. The incline of the belt has a range of 0-12 degrees.

3. Motor
The Apex 4500 model has a powerful DurX Commercial-Drive Motor with 2.25 CHP. The motor comes with an internal fan that reduces noise and extends machine’s life.

4. The Belt
One of the most important components of the Apex 4500 treadmill is the 20’’ x 55’’, 2 ply Commercial belt. This treadbelt operates much more silently and smoother than a normal belt. Also this is the first treadmill that comes with the Reflex Deck Cushioning system.

This is a cushioning system that reacts twice at each strike. First reaction is when the deck flattens to absorb the shock and then it springs back to its original shape pushing the user forward. With this system you reduce the impact over your joints with 40% in comparison with outside running.

This is the display system which allows to track speed, distance, pulse etc. It includes also a 7×30 matrix with extra wide viewing angle.

Club-Design CardioGrip Heart Rate Monitor
These are heart monitoring systems mounted on the handlebars.

The NordicTrack Apex 4500 treadmill is one of the top machines in the low middle segment produced by NordicTrack. It’s equipped from the start with a good 2.25 CHP motor and a roomy treadbelt.

What makes the Apex 4500 stand out is the Reflex Deck Cushioning system. This system absorbs the energy and propels the user into the next stride. Also it ensures a better joint protection.

This is a 1100$ model so don’t expect to act as a 3000$ one. You don’t have any entertainment features like sound system, mp3 dock or TV. But at the same time this machine offers many other functions and features for this money.

In conclusion the NordicTrack Apex 4500 treadmill is a good but simple machine with a very advanced cushioning system. It’s a good buy for walkers and joggers but if you want to run you should get a better machine.
