In this site we wrote some NordicTrack Treadmill reviews and we tried to shows the strengths and the weakness of those machines. This page is a conclusion of those reviews.
The NordicTrack Company is owned by the Icon Health and Fitness the biggest fitness company in the world. The original NordicTrack Company went bankrupt a few years ago and they were bought by Icon who transformed them of the best treadmill brands on the market.
It seems that Icon changed the philosophy of the NordicTrack engineers since now they produce much better machines. Their now produce the best designed treadmills in the world.
The specialists say that in the past they were forced to have a top design since they were working with cheap parts. Now they use much better components and as result they invade the market with top class products.
The philosophy change
NordicTrack change the way they produce these treadmills and we all seen that. Their current machines are better, stronger and nicer that the one produced just a few years ago. The fact that they improve the treadmill’s quality and the efforts they made to keep this standard is definitely a big plus
The workout tools
No one can beat NordicTrack when it comes to fitness goodies. They offer a lot of entertainment features like a 7 inch TV in console, iPod dock or sound systems and specific training functions like Carb Counter, Odometer Miles Trackers, iFit cards and the adjustable cushioning system for the belts.
Lifetime Motor Warranties
Almost all Nordic Track treadmills come with a life motor warranty. This is very good thin since the motor is the most important part of a treadmill and can be very expensive.
This ultra-compact unit is ideal for walkers and joggers looking for a quality, motorized treadmill that fits the smallest workout spaces and stores easily
- Ultra-compact design
- Folds to 10 inches high, stores vertically or horizontally
- No assembly required
- 1.5 CHP motor
- 17" x 45" belt
- 1 to 6 mph
- 2 programs
- Displays time, speed, distance, calories
- Warranties: 10-year frame, 5-year motor, 1-year parts & labor
- 250-lb user capacity
Warranty for parts
Even if they offer a lifetime warranty for motors NordicTrack gives only 1 year warranty for parts and labor. You can buy a extra warranty coverage but this enter the cons category.
Not for heavy runners
The NordicTrack treadmills are perfect for the home users and for guys that don’t train for long hours. But they are not good for heavy runners. Except for the NordicTrack S3000 Institutional treadmill which is a top rated treadmill (by “Runners”) most of the models will not keep up under a heavy use regime.
The TV
This is not a very serious problem but it seems that the super 7 inch TV mounted in console gets broken very often. This is a big problem since it cost a lot and most of the people will not repair him when they hear the price.
Here are the NordicTrack treadmill reviews we wrote so far. We will try to review the new models as soon as they appear on the market.

I have a Nordic Trak C2150 that is a ‘lemon’ and noone at ICON Fitness or the extended warrantee UTS is willing to replace it. I have been trying to get this fixed for over a year. They just order parts and it still does not work. Noone will return my call. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANY ICON FITNESS EQUIPMENT. They have the worst customer service I have every experienced. They charged me for parts, then for an extended service contract and I can’t get anyone to fix this ‘coat hanger’ I have purchased. I am hold right now for 20 minutes. They never answer the phone.
Debbie,
Customer service is one reason it is often best to buy from an independent authorized dealer like http://www.xxx.com. You can get through to them right away and they have more of an incentive to take care of you.

Customer Care
September 8, 2009
I just purchased a used C2150 Treadmill, and was wondering if you have any manuals for it? Also, is it really a lemon? Seems like a good machine for me, and I was trusting the Nordic Track name.
Thanks, Carol
@Carol, we don’t have any manuals on this treadmill. Try to contact NordicTrack Support. I’m sure they’ll help.
