Company Overview

NordicTrack brand is owned by Icon Health and Fitness which is the biggest fitness company in the world. The original NordicTrack Company went bankrupt a few years ago when they were bought by Icon. This is when NordicTrack was transformed into one of the best treadmills brand in this market.

Specialists say that in the past NordicTrack was forced to have a top design since they worked with cheap parts. Now they use qualitative components and as result they have invaded the market with top class products.

Strengths

Philosophy
NordicTrack changed their philosophy about how treadmills are produced when they were bought by ICON. Today NordicTrack Treadmills are better, stronger and more good looking than those produced just a few years ago. The fact that they improved the treadmills’ quality and the efforts they do to keep this standard up are definitely a big plus

The Workouts
No one can beat NordicTrack when it comes to fitness goodies. They offer a lot of entertainment features like: a 7 inches TV in console, iPod dock with sound systems, specific training functions like Carb Counter, Odometer Miles Trackers and the inovational iFit cards/IFIT LIVE Module.

Lifetime Motor Warranty
Almost all NordicTrack treadmills come with a life motor warranty. This is a very important and valuable detail since the motor is the most important part of a treadmill which can be very expensive to replace.

Weaknesses

Parts Warranty
Even if they offer a lifetime warranty for motors NordicTrack gives only 1 or 2 year warranty for parts and in home labor. The In Home labor warranty is not included in all offers. All you can do is buy an extra warranty coverage.

Not Built for Heavy Runners
The NordicTrack treadmills are perfect for home users who don’t train for long hours. But they are not designed for heavy runners. Still, in the last year they improved a lot the Incline Trainers Versions, like for example the NordicTrack X7 Incline Trainer.

NordicTrack Treadmills Reviews Done so Far

2010 Models:

- Nordictrack T7 SI Treadmill Review
This treadmill costs $800. The features you have on it are basic, the machine doesn’t have the best warranty and it’s not the most reliable equipment for intensive usage. Still, it can be a good buy if you just need a beginner’s treadmill.

- Nordictrack T9 CI Treadmill Review
This is a $1,400 machine, dedicated to regular runners but with attractive features (and we refer to the Touch Screen Display).

- NordicTrack A2350 PRO Treadmill Review
This treadmill is a superior model of the Nordictrack A2350 (released a few years ago). This is a $700 priced model, decent for the beginners and basic training. Read the review for more details.

- Nordictrack X5i Incline Trainer Treadmill Review
This is the middle model from the incline Series you can find at $1,600. It’s a good product and strong, dedicated to those who want to train for mountain climbing.

- Nordictrack Incline Trainer X3 Interactive Review
This is the lowest model in the Incline Series. The price is good ($1,400) but the features are limited. We recommend buying it only if you are a beginner and you need a start-up machine. See more details in the review.

This is a $2.000 treadmill with similar features to other NordicTrack treadmills. It’s an updated version to APEX 4500, a review we did 2 years ago.
