We had the opportunity to test the Landice Club L9 Pro Trainer at the same time with the L7 Cub Executive trainer at our friend’s Gym. This is a L9 Club Series treadmill for which you can choose one of the Landice Consoles. See the Landice L7 review for Console details.

We have very interesting information about Landice Treadmills to share in our previous review so we recommend you take a look at that too.

We used the Pro Trainer console and we have many comments to make about L9 Club Pro Trainer after testing it. But the most important details we want to highlight since the beginning of this review is that the price you have the pay for this treadmill’s features and quality is decent and affordable (around $3,500).

<!--

If you look at the machine specs before you have a chance to try it for real, you will notice that Landice Club L9 stands up as a resistant machine built to take long hours of continuous and intensive training, to ensure protection over joints and knees and offer entertainment features that are both useful and pleasant.

To not spoil the surprise, take a more attentive look at the specs below.

Landice L9 Club Pro Trainer Specifications

1. Speed: 0.5 to 11.0 mph
On the Pro Trainer console the buttons are easily accessed to change speed by simply pressing on the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ buttons.

2. Inclination: 0% – 12% Grade Electric Elevation
For the ProTrainer Console, same as speed, incline is controlled through the 2 ‘+’ or ‘-‘ buttons located on the console.

3. Motor: 4-HP Cotinuous Duty Motor
For all Landice treadmills the motor is built so that it resists to intensive training and all components integrated have the purpose to longer the treadmill’s life.

4. Belt: 20″ X 63″ Four Ply TreadBelt
The difference between an L7 Club treadmill and the L9 Club treadmill stands in the belt size. For L9 the belt is longer but the qualities of Landice treadbelt remain the same for both club versions: it doesn’t overstretch, reduces friction, prevents overheating and it’s smooth and comfortable to joints and knees.

5. Steel Rollers: 3- 1/2’’ diameter, 22 – pound
Due to treadmills larger size, L9 Club rollers are larger and weigh more than L7 Club version. Landice uses the same quality and specifications: Large rollers to assure less friction and this way preserve the treadmill’s life.

6. Size and weights: 32″ x 82″, 425 lbs.

7. Warranty
Landice offers 5 years Commercial Warranty for Club Series Treadmills (L7 and L9), plus Lifetime warranty for Treadmill Frame, Treadmill Parts and Wear Items and 1 Year for Service labor.

L9 Club Treadmill supports a user weight of 500 pounds (100 more than L7 Club version).

Landice L Club Series Special Features

1.	Aluminum Frame
Same as on the L7 for L9 Treadmill Landice uses aluminum frames because aluminum doesn’t rust; this material makes a treadmill lighter and more resistant to larger weights.

2.	1-inch Thick Reversible Deck
The Landice deck ensures a minimum 3,000 hours usage before being changed. For high usage, like the club treadmill, Landice SlipCoat is applied monthly so that the life of the deck (and treadbelt) is preserved for a longer period of time.

3.	VFX Shock Absorption System

VFX guarantees a 5 times softer running experience than running on grass. Landice promotes the VFX as an absorption system designed to significantly reduce impact over joints but at the same time maintain a realistic outdoor feel. The shock absorption system is also orthopedic by reducing impact over joints, knees and also any injury probability. This makes running comfortable and pleasant (very important especially to those who train intensively and daily).

<!--

5.	Colors:
Landice offers 2 options for each L Series Treadmill color, including the Club Series: Titanium and Matte Texture Black.

6.	Optional: The Landice Vision System
This is a 12” video display with side-loading DVD player and TV tuner. The Landice Vision System is optional on all treadmills and comes with a 1-year warranty. It includes a full function remote control plus a Coaxial Cable Connection Jack for plugging in the TV cable.

7.	Optional: Landice WalkStation which includes:

- It’s easily adaptable to any newer style residential or commercial Landice Treadmill.
- Allows securing a laptop notebook computer to the reading rack with the LapStrap computer strap.
- Adjustable TreadMouse mouse pad and multi-function PhoneDock.
- Adjustable ErgoKey keyboard tray which slides and is removed easily.
- Allows mounting up to a 24-inch computer, monitor, or TV on the optional VESA-D compatible mounting bracket.
- Allows connecting the iPod using the optional iPod Audio/Video cable

Landice L9 Club Pro Trainer Panel Features

The display is very easy to use and includes also user-defined programs. Detailed console features are:
a. Displays Time, Distance, Speed, Elevation, Calories, and Pace
b. Displays data in English or metric configurations
c. Includes 5 Built-in programs with variable time and unlimited effort levels
d. Includes 2 User-defined programs
e. Optional you can choose an AccuTrack contact heart-rate monitoring system
f. Optional you can choose a wireless-chest-strap heart-rate monitoring system

Conclusions

During our tests we have had the possibility to train on a L9 Club Pro Trainer treadmill with both optional entertainment modules installed: the Landice Vision System and the Landice WalkStation.

It was a real pleasure having the chance to use the Landice WalkStation in particular. With this module we could have connected our laptop and even have a keyboard installed to take care of urgent business matters. But we didn’t because we usually don’t take work in the gym. It’s just a principle. But I did connect my iPod and played a movie I love on the Vision System Screen to enjoy while working out. This is not something neither of us usually do either, but the quality of video and sound of the Landice Vision is so great, we couldn’t resist the temptation.

Still, let’s not forget we were in the Gym to run, not to watch a movie. For the Pro Trainer console we wished we had more programs to choose from. Only 2 custom programs and only 5 built in…it’s a little less than we are usually used to. But I guess that if you want to have more, you can with Landice, only that you need to pay for a more expensive Panel (see the L7 Club review article for more of your options).

Speaking of other options, we looked over the price offers and we know that the L9 Club Cardio Trainer Treadmill is listed at around $5,000, the L9 Club Pro Sport Trainer version at around $3,800 and the L9 Club Executive Trainer the same as cardio, at around $5,000. Plus, you can have the Landice WalkStation at around $350.

For what we tested, the L9 Club Pro Trainer price without the optional modules is $3,500. The price is high in comparison with other treadmills on the market, but this is (and we confirm) a professional runner’s treadmill. When it comes to comfort and resistance, this piece of equipment is awesome. And yes, Landice is known for quality, therefore quality must be paid for.

The L9 Treadmill is made for tall persons and its size does not allow storing it in a regular bedroom. It needs its space to be stored. There are though other Residential Landice offers. We will definitely try one of these options to see how it goes and we hope to be able to store that in a regular room.

In conclusion, it felt good to be on the Landice L9 Pro Trainer Treadmill, even though the panel it’s pretty poor in features in comparison with other Panel Options. The heart rate optional control systems do the trick so choose them if you have this machine in mind for your gym/home too. For more information you can visit the official page.

And for all you Pro Trainers/Gym Owners looking for a treadmill, look at this option because it’s worth the money.

We tested the L7 Club Commercial treadmill with the Executive Trainer Panel. After this experience we looked for all treadmills’ options Landice offers. It would be a big loss not to share with you at least some of the details we know about Club Treadmills but also about the L Series in general. This is why we consider you will have a lot of useful information to extract from the below details.

Landice L7 Club Series Specifications

1. Speed: 0.5 to 11.0 mph
Each available Landice control panel has its own specific speed control key. See below detailed speed control options for all 4 available control panels.

2. Inclination: 0% – 15% Grade Electric Elevation
The elevation motor ensures that even a person with the maximum supported weight (400 pounds) can use the elevation system at maximum level and have the same smooth feeling as a 100 pounds person.

3. Motor: 4-HP Continuous Duty Motor
The motor is designed to work long hours without overheating and this way ensuring a longer life of the treadmill.

4. Belt: 20″ X 58″ Four Ply TreadBelt
A 4 ply treadbelt means strong resistance at high usage. It is built to not over stretch after long workouts sessions (a cause which usually for other types of treadmills implies replacing the belt after 1 year of intensive training). It is also designed to ensure low friction level between belt and motor; therefore it ensures a longer life for the treadmill.

5. Steel Rollers: 2- 1/2’’ Diameter, 14 Pounds Weight
Large rollers provide less friction and this way the life of the treadmill is cautiously preserved. L7 Series rollers weigh 14 pounds which helps in making running workouts smooth (and ensuring a longer life of the motor). Landice rollers are sealed using polyurethane gaskets which serves to the same purpose: longer the life of the machine.

6. Size And Weight: 32’’x77’’, 300 LBS

7. Warranty
Landice offers 5 years Commercial Warranty for Club Series Treadmills (L7 and L9), plus Lifetime warranty for Treadmill Frame, Treadmill Parts and Wear Items and 1 Year for Service labor.

L7 Club Treadmill supports a user weight of 400 pounds.

Landice L Series Special Features

1.	Aluminum Frame
Aluminum frames don’t rust; they make a treadmill lighter and more resistant to larger weights.

2. 1-inch Thick Reversible Deck
Considered one of the strongest in the industry, the Landice deck ensures a minimum 3,000 hours usage before being changed. This applies for all treadmills in the L series.

4.	Colors:
Landice offers 2 options for each L Series Treadmill color, including the Club Series: Titanium and Matte Texture Black.

Conclusions

After reading all the above interesting details about features and functions of the L7 Club Series I am sure you want to know also some info about pricing. We looked on the net for general offers available and these are the approximate values for all 4 L7 Club options: L7 Club Cardio Trainer ($4,000 – $4,300), L7 Club Executive Trainer ($5,500 – $5,800), L7 Club Pro Sports Trainer ($3,500 – $3,800) and the L7 Club Pro Trainer ($3500 – $3,900).

Our running experience didn’t disappoint us. The L7 Club Executive Trainer which we put to work was in fact very smooth and it was a true delight playing with the hi definition colorful display. Changing speed and incline is very easy to do. Plus you don’t feel rough flounces while intensifying the workout.

The drive motor is powerful and silent so it’s easy to delight yourself with a pleasant conversation with your running partner (if your breathing allows you to) or with some music/film.

The warranty is great. Still, we looked more attentively and noticed that there are loopholes you must be aware of before you request services under warranty. Be sure you read those closely.

We played with all workouts included in the Executive Panel. Yes, you have a lot of variety and the different animated location scenery shown on the display make the running experience a lot of fun.

You have a lot of results charts to look at and it includes also a calendar. All this make the treadmill very fun to use.

We had also the Optional Landice Vision System. This is a TV screen multi task and hi def resolution. You might already know our opinion about a TV screen so you can understand why we highly appreciate this being an optional module for all Landice treadmills. You don’t need to pay a lot of money on a TV screen just to have the treadmill running functions you want to but can’t without the TV. From our point of view this should be an optional function for all treadmills.

So, after testing the L7 Club Executive Trainer we put in balance if it’s worth investing all this money in this treadmill….

L7 Club Executive Trainer is definitely a PRO machine and so are the others 3 versions in the L7 Club Series. We investigated all of them and yes, they have it all. If you need other details you can check the Landice website

What we tested confirmed that the treadmill is resistant and powerful, orthopedic, it includes complete functions, features and workout reports, it’s fun and yet still very practical. Plus it comes with a great warranty. But..TOO expensive! So no, we would not invest that money ($6,000) for this option. But we would definitely buy the L7 Club Pro Trainer!
