Horizon T1201 Treadmill Review - Part 2

Horion T1201 it’s a machine rated at a $1,000 price on the market at this moment. This is a treadmill that impresses at first view with its futuristic design and this makes it kind of irresistible not to see how it goes and what it does.

After testing it it’s pretty obvious the machine is built for regular users, for example those runners who want to stay healthy and do at least 3-4 hours of exercise per week right in their own home. Or for those who do intensive running workouts outside but in bad weather they need a solution to not interrupt their training program.

This is a good, average machine for these types of runners.

Horizon includes little programs but they made sure there is at least one modern entertainment feature (the iPOD dock)
So, we recommend you take a look at the specs below to get an idea of what you have included if you consider buying this treadmill. Then read more about our conclusions after testing this treadmill.

Conclusions

If you are already acquainted with running, then you probably know that it’s recommended you train at least 3-4 times a week to maintain cardiovascular fitness. Each workout should last at least 30 minutes and it can take up to 60minutes for your body to stay healthy and fit. This should be the least effort a person should do on a regular basis.

Horizon T1201 can satisfy this basic workout need, but that is it. To make it easier we will list below the advantages and disadvantages of this machine so that you can follow the main points of what it means using this treadmill as your regular training machine:

Advantages:
- It’s a folding treadmill and this makes it easier to store in your home.
- It has a futuristic design so it can give a modern appearance to the place where you decide to store it
- It has a powerful motor for standard workouts and it’s silent enough to allow you to listen to music, have a conversation or just to enjoy some time with your thoughts.
- The display is easy to follow and you have easy access to speed and incline change (MyIncline and MySpeed keys are helpful too)
- You can connect your iPOD and control it from the Panel
- You can listen to music at headphones
- You have a decent protection of your joints with the 3 zone Cushion System installed on the belt
- The belt is large enough to sustain tall persons also and make them feel comfortable
- And you get an easy to read and complete manual with instructions about how to assembly the machine and also how to use it (including the few workouts tips)

Disadvantages:
- If you are an intensive runner you can do your daily running only when it’s raining or you just don’t feel like going out. It’s not design to resist to hard intensive usage
- Workouts are very limited. You have only 3 predefined workouts and 4 custom ones that you can save.
- There is no high technology like: record your data, give you feedback and reports based on your profile, and offer you the possibility to create a working program on a long term. These are features that others treadmills do offer and they come in hand too.
- There is no fan included
- The cushion system is good, but it’s not great
From our point of view, it’s a machine you can buy depending on what you are looking for to have. But overall, although it’s a nice treadmill (we don’t argue with that) there may be other options in the market for the same money that can satisfy your expectations.

Will this treadmill run at .1 mph constantly? I am looking for a in-home rehab and need it to run this slow. If it won’t do you have any treadmills that will run at 1/10 mph constantly?
    Thanks

The console includes Speed + / – keys thay are used to adjust speed in 0.1 mph increments. So it should work at 0.1 mph
