When we say little price we refer to $1,600 and although not a small amount of money, it’s small when you list a TV Console as part of the buy.

The rest of the features are basic for this price category and the offer comes with a limited warranty.

Our recommendation is to browse through the details specs first to see what this treadmill offers and then go to our conclusions to read more about the advantages and disadvantages of this treadmill.

The belt is backed by adjustable cushion system (a feature we appreciate on any treadmill that has it).

For more firmness, you must step off the treadmill and slide the platform cushions toward the front. For less firmness, slide it toward the back. This cushioning system absorbs impact on the knees and ankles and makes you feel comfortable during workout, while also keeping you safe.

The more you weigh or faster you run, the firmer the cushion should be.

Maximum Weight Capacity: 350 lbs/ 159 kg

Warranty: lifetime for frame and motor, and 1 year for parts and labor.

Display Info:

The display system offers 5 options. There is the Matrix that displays a ¼ mile/ 400 meter long track. The segments will activate according to your current segment.

The Time Display shows the elapsed time.

The Distance/ Incline Display shows the walked/ run distance and the incline for a few seconds when the incline changes.

The Calorie/ Pulse Display shows the approximate number of burned calories and the Speed Display shows the speed of the belt.

This is the basic feedback you need in order to keep yourself on “the right track”, so to speak.

Heart Rate Readings: through handles

Stand on the foot rails and hold metal contacts on the handrails, while avoiding moving your hands for 15 seconds. This system is difficult to use during an intensive workout.

Workouts:

There are 28 preset workouts of which 6 Distance workouts:
* 1 Mile
* 5 K
* 5 Mile
* 10 K
* Half Marathon

There are also 10 Performance workouts, 10 Weight loss workouts, 9 Aerobic Workouts and 4 Create and Save workouts.

In order to select a preset workout, first you have to press Weight Loss, Aerobic Fitness or Performance. After selection, the display will give you duration of workout, maximum incline, workout number and maximum speed setting.

If you want to create a My Memory workout, press the My Memory button repeatedly until you reach the desired program. Make your selection and set incline and speed. Then, start your workout.

There is one detail in particular that you’ll find pretty attractive about this console. You can adjust the intensity of your workouts any time you want. Whenever you feel you want to take it slower or maybe you need to run a little faster, just set your desired intensity and the program will adjust to your request.

Entertainment: Personal Television

This treadmill is designed to keep you focused and in motion through its entertainment options.

The TV console must be properly set-up before use. Make sure there is a CATV cable, an antenna or the AV wire connected to the console. You can also connect a VCR or a DVD player, and then you surf through the available channels until you get to the one you want. Make sure the settings are set correctly. Select a source by pressing TV/ AV button repeatedly. You have a remote control to browse through Channels and adjust volume.

Press Menu to enter the main menu and Exit when you are finished. Follow instructions as they will guide you through your settings.

The treadmill doesn’t have any easy fold up system. It’s heavy so pay attention to not hurt yourself.

Sound System: IPOD compatible

First, connect your player to the console. Then, follow instructions regarding the audio jack and press Play. If you add up the personal television, this console becomes quite entertaining.

Information Mode

With this personal record of the console you can keep track of total distance of the walking belt and total number of hours that the treadmill has been used. To select it, hold down Stop while inserting the key into the console and then release the button.

Conclusions

Until recently HealthRider Club Series H155t was a gym model. But its features and settings make it more compatible with Home Gyms. Although not the most advanced treadmill, for light joggers who want entertainment this is a recommended option.

First off, let’s talk about quality. This is a basic HealthRider model with standard quality. Even the TV console it’s not the best you can find, but it works and this is important. While we used it the treadmill performed well. Still we are reluctant when we see treadmills with only 1 year warranty for parts and labor.

Secondly, let’s talk about utility. You can’t complain about workouts diversity, because there are plenty of options available: 28 preset programs and 4 customized workouts. You can choose out of a generous array of programs or you can design your own. And while exercising, it is easy to follow your progress with the 4 displays, each showing specific information that helps increase performance.

Also we like the the cushioning system that can be adjusted. This is a big plus.

Feedback isn’t complete, though. You can’t enter your weight and age, nor gender. If you did, feedback would be more specific. And this is something that we find very important in a console, although not quintessential. After all, the workout selection is so various that will make your workouts worthwhile. Plus, we would really enjoy a wireless heart rate system to backup our effort all the way.

Thirdly, let’s talk about entertainment. At least, for those who want it. There are runners that don’t need music, TV or any other kind of entertainment. But there are others who need it in order to keep themselves on the track. It’s easy to lose focus on the treadmill, this is a fact. So, it’s recommended to use whatever works in order to keep you motivated, while shedding some extra pounds. So this console offers you a personal television, easy to adjust and a decent quality sound system.

Add a powerful motor and a long belt, and in the end you get a good $1600 investment for the HealthRider Club Series H155t.

Display Info

There are several display modes that you can access. Each of them shows certain information. Just press repeatedly Display in order to choose the desired display, which will indicate the following information:

- Elapsed time
- Walked/ run distance
- Approximate number of burned calories
- Pace in min/ mile or min/ km
- Speed
- Incline
- Heart rate

Heart Rate Readings: Handlebars

Heart Rate Readings are done through the handlebars sensors. When you use this system keep your hands still for about 15 seconds for more accurate results.

Workouts:

The H95t offers 22 preset workouts, of which 10 Performance workouts, 6 Weight Loss workouts and 6 Distance Workouts, as following:

- 1Mile
- 5K
- 5 Mile
- 10K
- 10 Mile
- Half Marathon

Preset workouts are various enough to sustain training for half marathon.

From our personal point of view we are satisfied with the array of workout programs this treadmill offers.

The preset workouts are easy to access and control. To make your selection, press the iFit Workouts button. Then, press Performance or Weight Loss on the screen or on the console.

When a workout is selected, you’ll have the name, duration, max speed, max incline and a profile of speed settings.

For distance workouts, the duration of the workout will not appear. For performance workouts, the intensity can be changed. You can follow your progress with the display. The flashing segment is the current segment of your workout. Incline and speed can be changed during workout.

There are the competition workouts that are truly interesting and motivating. To select one, press iFit Workouts and then press Competition on the screen or console. In order to personalize race settings, you must go to Settings and select max incline by pressing Increase/ Decrease. Then, select your speed and press Continue.

The race can offer 1 opponent or a group of opponents. If you choose one opponent, select Head to Head. Select an opponent by pressing Next and Back. For each opponent, you’ll have the level of endurance, average speed, maximum speed, level of spirit.

Each opponent may appear in more than once in different levels, tiers or difficulty. The least challenging is tier one and most challenging is tier 3. Press Race Against a Pack to compete against a group. After setting the number of opponents, you can set the distance of the race.

During walking or running, the display can give you an animation of a runner which represents you and of course it is labeled “U”, animations of other runners, a map of your running course on the left side of the screen, the number of seconds you are ahead of the opponents, your rank, speed, incline, approximate nr of calories, distance, elapsed time, heart rate, incline settings, the rate at which your opponents recover energy, the energy that your opponents have left, racing tactics of the other runners, average speed.

Folding: Included

This treadmill can be folded and save you storage space.

Sound System:

Connect an MP3 or a CD and you can play your favorite music while exercising from the console. The sound system works well and makes workout much more enjoyable.

iFIT Live Module: Optional

The H95t is compatible with iFit LIVE Module but it’s purchased separately and works with a monthly subscription. We tested this device on other several treadmills and this one too. It’s highly recommended to be purchase if you’re interested in a larger variety of workouts. Also you can download personalized workouts and track workout information on the iFit Live website.

Information Mode:

It’s a good thing to have an Information Mode in your workout console, because it makes it easier for the user to keep track of workout information such as: total number of hours that the treadmill has been used and total distance that the belt has moved.

Conclusions:

The HealthRider H95t is a good treadmill and we recommend it to all home users with a limited budget, but with a known risk.

There are numerous advantages of this treadmill that make workouts efficient and why not, fun too. After all, it does have attractive entertainment options, such as the music ports and iFit access. But let’s say that entertainment is not something any user needs.

Apart from these options, there are other features that we’re sure any user needs. The advanced shock absorption system reduces impact on joints and knees with 15%. Foot strikes are safe and comfortable, which keeps your body healthy and your workouts long and efficient. There are more advanced systems available but for basic training you don’t need more.

The 2.75 CHP motor and the 20 x 60 inches deck increase the comfort. This is a good combination that makes this treadmill suitable for tall runners which prefer to use speed during workout.

Another advantage is that you receive 22 preprogrammed workouts, which we’ve tried all and enjoyed most of them. You’ll be allowed to race against one or more opponents which is highly motivational. You set the intensity level so this program can be used either you’re a beginner, an intermediate or advanced runner, although it may be harder for beginners to keep up.

It’s also true that you have no fan to cool you down during requiring workouts. For some users, the fan is not questionable. It is our case also.

But its highest disadvantage is the warranty. 1 year for parts and labor is poor and makes us wonder if this treadmill can perform well on a long term as well.

This treadmills price is only $1,000. This is a good price for the varied pack of features that this treadmill presents. Equally good is also the NordicTrack A 2750 Pro Treadmill, with a similar range of features and also for the same price of $1,000. They come from the same manufacturer. Display Info

The H75t uses 3 different displays meant to help you keep track of performance. The Center Display offers 3 display modes, when Manual mode is turned on. You choose the display mode by pressing Graphical Display repeatedly. You’ll be shown the following info:

- Speed
- Walking/ running pace in min/mile or /km
- Approximate number of burned calories
- Elapsed time
- Distance
- Completed laps
- Incline
- Heart rate
- An animation of the road

The left display lists incline, elapsed time or approximate number of burned calories. The right display shows distance or speed, and also the heart rate when handgrip sensors are used.

To see the total number of miles run/walked and calories burned, press Total.

You can also change the Volume level or simply mute it. During workout, the intensity meter will indicate the approximate intensity level of your exercise.

Heart Rate Readings: HadleBars

To measure your heart rate, just stand on the foot rails and hold the metal contacts. Your pulse will be detected and then your heart rate will be displayed. Stay still for another 15 seconds for more accuracy of the result.

It’s hard to use during exercise and have accurate feedback.

Workouts:

The H75t features 12 preset workouts, of which 5 weight loss workouts, 4 aerobic workouts and 3 performance workouts, plus 3 Create and Save workouts.

If you’re not in the mood for a preset workout, you can create your own. In order to do so, press Custom Workouts. Start the belt and setup your speed and incline.

iFIT Workouts: Optional

This treadmill also features iFit workouts. We did a review which we strongly recommend reading if this option interests you: see the iFIT Workouts article.

You can purchase the iFit cards from the producers or other distributors.

To use it, first insert the iFit card and select a workout by pressing iFit Increase/ Decrease buttons. The exercise is composed of several minute segments, each with preset speed and incline levels. Press Start.

The cool thing about iFit workouts is that you have a personal trainer to guide you with voice enabled. When you’re done remove the iFit card.

Fan: Included

Folding treadmill:

You can also fold the equipment so that it doesn’t occupy too much space when you’re not working out.

Sound System:

The H75t comes with sound system in the console. All you have to do is connect your player to the console, plug in the jack and press Play. You can also adjust volume.

Information Mode

This mode will keep track of the total distance and total number of hours the treadmill has been used. It allows you to set audio settings for the iFit workouts and select miles/km as unit of measurement.

Hold down Stop and insert key into the console, and then release Stop, in order to activate the Information Mode. Just remove the key to exit.

Conclusions

The HealthRider H75t is a 2010 treadmill model that we find quite generous as far as workouts go and quite attractive as far as features go. So yes, this is a treadmill that we recommend, especially if you’re a bit low on cash.

The 2.5 CHP motor is not the strongest, but it sustains flawlessly the workouts selection that come with this treadmill. There are 5 weight loss workouts, 4 Personal Trainer, 3 Performance and 3 Create and Save workouts. It’s enough if you just want to stay fit.

And don’t forget about the iFit workouts that are a serious add-on for the exercise this treadmill offers. They cost additional money, but they are recommended to be bought. Read more in the iFIT Workouts article.

Users up to 325 pounds may use this treadmill, which is great news. So is the power incline control that simply crowns this model.

A disadvantage is that calories are not read with accuracy. You can’t insert your profile details and therefor calories calculations are based on a general formula (let’s say 15% accurate).

Also, there are some problems with the heart rate monitoring system.

The warranty for parts is poor. It’s the first detail that make us believe that you may have to start investing in new parts soon after the 1 year guarantee expires.

Still, this is a $1,000 treadmill that provides a correct balance between price and quality. You may find machines with similar features, but also with small functional issues, for less than $800. Just do a quick scan of all your options, before making up your mind.

This is an important article because, as we mentioned before, iFIT workouts are a cool feature but if they are not installed on the right the treadmill, the workouts efficiency is almost null. In some cases it is listed just to attract you as buyer, but it will not offer you the satisfaction you’re looking for.

Unfortunately, not all treadmills have the workouts included in the treadmill’s original price. You can see it listed in the specs of the treadmills but some have it listed as compatible (which translates into not included) and some have it listed as included. Even is included, the IFIT LIVE Module comes with a special subscription offer and you must pay attention to this too.

These are the treadmills we tested and reviewed together with the iFIT workouts. Read the entire reviews before making a buy decision. It will save you some money and time.

This 2011 treadmill is sold now at $1500 ($100 less than its initial price). The latest iFIT LIVE module version is included in the console. The machine is worth your attention if interested in purchasing it.

- Proform Performance 1450 Treadmill (iFIT LIVE)

This model has the latest iFIT LIVE Module version included, and it comes with a fair price $1,500. A recommended machine if you want to buy it.

- Proform Trailrunner 4.0 (iFIT LIVE)

We found this model in sale at $1,400 and for this price you can buy it (the start price was around $2,000 when first launched). For this money you receive the latest version of the iFIT LIVE included in the console, with a 1 year subscription free.

- Proform Trailrunner 2.0 (iFIT LIVE)

This is one of the 2011 best buys from Proform, because of the 7” touch screen technology, the iFIT module incorporated in the console and the adjustable cushioning. At the end of the year you can find it at a great price too (around $1,300, depending on what Proform promotion is ongoing).

- Freemotion Incline Trainer Review (iFIT LIVE)

This treadmill resembles to NordicTrack X71 Treadmill review. Only that here the iFIT is optional and you need to buy it separately. But it’s worth the money. Incline Trainers offer excellent workout.

- ProForm Power 1080 Treadmill Review (2011 model) (iFIT LIVE)

You need the monthly iFIT subscription enabled. But for $1300 price this is a decent treadmill that can sustain basic workouts without problem.

- FreeMotion 770 Interactive Treadmill(iFIT LIVE)

The IFIT LIVE module is included in the console. This is a great offer (for $1,900) because you have the latest touch screen display, browser/internet capability and a good 5 year warranty.

- ProForm Power 995 Treadmill Review (2011 model) (iFIT LIVE)

This is a budget treadmill ($1,000). That is why the IFIT LIVE is not included. But you can buy it whenever your budget allows it because it’s a good bargain.

- FreeMotion 750 Interactive Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

For $1,300 this is a good treadmill. The iFIT module must be purchases separately. But it’s a good choice if you want to add this option.

- Nordictrack C 900 Treadmill Review (2011 model) (iFIT LIVE)

For $1,000 this is a treadmill we warmly recommend. You must buy the wireless iFIT module separately, but you have the first year subscription of the iFIT LIVE included for this additional price.

- NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill Review (2011 Model) (iFIT LIVE)

The module has built-in iFIT buttons, but you need to buy the iFIT LIVE module separately. The experience was quite fun and interesting for the money paid ($1,300).

- NordicTrack Elite 9500 PRO Treadmill Review (SD Cards and iFIT LIVE)

The NEW Elite 9500 PRO model has the new iFIT LIVE technology incorporated in the console. You will not be able to resist the temptation to buy the subscription. And you shouldn’t resist. It’s worthy every penny.

- NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Review (2011 model) (iFIT LIVE)

The iFIT LIVE module is included, so you don’t need to pay extra money. You have one year free subscription when you activate your account. All in all, this is a good purchase for $1,500.

You must buy the module and the subscription if you want to have this optional accessory. It’s worth the extra money added to the $1,300 investment for the treadmill itself.

- NordicTrack Reflex 8500 Pro Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

The advantage is that the iFIT live module is already integrated in the console. The downside is that you need to buy the subscription to use it. Because of the high investment you must make to purchase the model ($2,000) this extra cost is not worth it.

- Reebok T 12.80 Treadmill Review (iFIT Cards)

SD cards are optional on this $1,200 model. You don’t need to buy the cards as there are 28 preset workouts already included in this model.

- Reebok R 5.80 Treadmill Review (iFIT Cards)

The SD cards are optional if you want to buy them, and they would work well on this model. But this is not a very powerful machine, so don’t expect to train for a marathon on it. It’s still a $800 model and has its limitations.

- FreeMotion Incline Trainer i7.7 Treadmill Review (iFIT Cards)

This treadmill is too large and too expensive to worth the investment in the extra SD cards. But it’s a good treadmill nevertheless for those who have $3800 to spend on it.

- Reebok V 6.80 Treadmill Review (iFIT Cards)

The model is low – cost (around $700) but it’s not a strong treadmill. The SD cards are optional.

- Freemotion Incline Trainer Pro Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

The iFIT LIVE module device is included with this treadmill, but it comes with a limited monthly subscription. As far as the functionality goes, this is a very similar model to Nordictrack X7 Incline Trainer

- Freemotion XTr Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This treadmill works very well for $2000 and it comes with 28 preset workouts from the factory. You have the option to buy the iFIT LIVE module, but it’s not a necessity to spend the extra money.

- FreeMotion T5.8 Treadmill Reviews (SD Cards)

This model is slightly improved than the T 5.6 version when it comes to compare performance, but the iFIT cards system works the same. SD cards are optional and you must buy them separately. The treadmill costs around $2700, which is not much of a bargain. Even if the SD cards work well with this model, we consider there are other treadmills options worth looking into for this price range.

- FreeMotion T5.6 Treadmill Review (SD Cards)

This treadmill costs around $3000. The SD Cards must be bought additional to this price range. But from our point of view you don’t need to buy them as the console already comes with 30 preset workouts.

- NordicTrack Commercial ZS Treadmill Review(SD Cards)

This is a $1000 model. The price is decent and the treadmill performs well. You can buy the cards if you want to, but they are a separate cost from the treadmill price.

- Freemotion T5.2 Treadmill Review (SD Cards)

This is a $2500 treadmill with optional iFIT Card slot included. This is a little overpriced treadmill from our point of view, but if you want a reliable treadmill to practice iFIT Workouts this is a good model. Remember you buy the iFIT cards separately.

- Freemotion T7.5 Treadmill Review (SD Cards)

This treadmill has the SD card slot so you can buy the extra iFIT SD cards available if interested. It’s worth the investment from our point of view.

- HealthRider H95t Treadmill Review (iFIT Module)

This treadmill is one that comes with the first Optional iFIT workouts system. Its price is $1,500 (way too expensive). We confirm every iFIT system compatible is Optional (no workouts are included).

This treadmill is priced $800 (a decent value for the features offered). SD workouts are compatible, not included but they make a valuable asset to your buy because the preset exercises included are not very efficient.

This treadmill is $1,400 priced and has the SD cards Compatible (NOT included). It already comes with interesting workouts so it’s not mandatory to add the iFIT workouts. Still, they are helpful for those who want to follow a strict program and need guidance from a professional trainer.

This treadmill costs little, only $700. Nordictrack made it compatible with the iFIT LIVE Module (which is NOT included in the price) so that it can make it more appealing to buyers. Still, it’s a treadmill that can take little and it’s not built to resist long years.

- Nordictrack X5i Incline Trainer Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE Module)

This treadmill is part of the Incline Series (together with X3 and X7 models we reviewed previously). This is the middle model priced at $1,600, but only compatible with the iFIT LIVE Module. This treadmill is part of the Incline Series, priced at $1,400. The SD cards are not included, you have to buy them separately. There are some limitations you must be aware of, and we mentioned them in our review. But, in the end, is a good offer for those interested in losing weight and it’s worth investing more money in having the SD cards too.

- ProForm 1050T Treadmill Review (SD Cards)

The SD cards are optional on this treadmill. The price is $900 and it’s an offer worth investing the extra money to have the iFIT workouts.

- ProForm 590T Treadmill Review (SD cards)

This is a $600 treadmill compatible with SD cards, but they are not included. This is a treadmill on which you can only walk this is why the iFIT workouts are not recommended to be added.

- NordicTrack Reflex 4500 Pro Treadmill Review (SD workouts, iFIT LIVE)

This is a $2,000 treadmill and at this price you would expect to have the iFIT LIVE module included, but it doesn’t. Instead you have 26 pre-set iFIT workouts included in the console, which are enough.

- NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This is a very attractive offer because for $1,300 you have the LIVE Module included. This is a treadmill we recommend.

- NordicTrack A2750 Pro Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

The treadmill costs $1,000. It’s a very good price especially because you have already few pre-set iFIT workouts included in the console memory. They are not in cards format, but added directly in the console. The iFIT live module is optional, but for the price paid it’s quite normal. This is a good treadmill.

- NordicTrack A2550 PRO Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This is a $800 treadmill, with basic features. It’s compatible with iFIT LIVE which makes it an attractive option.

- NordicTrack X7 Incline Trainer Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This is a $2,000 treadmill, with the iFIT LIVE module included and ready to support your intensive training at anytime. This is why we strongly recommend it.

- ProForm XT 90 Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This is a $900 treadmill (correct price) but with uncomfortable features. The iFIT LIVE is just compatible, not included.

- ProForm Power 690 Treadmill Review (iFIT LIVE)

This is a $1,300 treadmill, but the module is not included for this price. It’s not a recommended option.

- ProForm 585V Perspective Folding Treadmill Review (SD Cards)

This treadmill is only compatible with SD cards. It’s a very good treadmill with a very pleasant design.

We decided to dedicate this article to iFIT LIVE module workouts and the SD cards after having the opportunity to test them on a few treadmills during our reviews. Read the iFIT Treadmills article too to see which models can support this feature and how they acted when we tested them.

What we can say from the beginning is that our experience with the iFIT workouts, either tested with the LIVE module or as SD Cards, has been great.

iFIT LIVE Costs:

With the purchase of a machine that has the built in iFIT LIVE module you will get a one year subscription free.

If you purchase a machine that takes a module and you purchase the module it will also come with a one year subscription free.

Once your subscription is up it costs $80.00 for another year subscription or approximately $10.00 a month to renew.

NEW iFIT LIVE with the 10 inch Android Touchscreen

This is the latest iFIT Live technology released with 2011 treadmills. Consider it as an upgrade to the previous iFIT LIVE module that now supports communicating with your ifit.com subscription directly from the treadmill’s console.

The iFIT LIVE Module costs (for the upgraded version or the older version) are the same.

NEW iFIT LIVE Workouts Features:

- You login in your ifit.com from treadmill’s console

- You download My Trainer treadmill workouts through a WiFi connection (these are the Jillian Michaels workouts). You have weekly programs available, depending on your fitness level

- You can use the My Maps option to create your running route. This is possible through Google Maps

- You can download ‘World Tour’ workouts, powered by Google Maps also

- You can download Event Training workouts

- You can compete in a race you schedule for in advance (it’s called the Compete workout). You can use this option with your friends and you all schedule for the race (which takes place on the treadmill)

- You can access a web browser from the treadmill’s console and browse on the Internet or check your email

The treadmill automatically changes the incline of the treadmill (up and down) to simulate terrain during any workout .

NEW iFIT LIVE Installation

- Connect the treadmill to your WiFi network (as you would connect your computer)
- Follow the Quick Start Wizard instructions that pop-up on the console screen
- Connect to your iFIT.com account (you need the username and password). If you don’t have an account, you can register from the treadmill’s console
- Click on any the 5 workouts buttons from your iFIT account. Workouts will be downloaded before you can use them

First Version of the iFIT LIVE Module

What You Need to Install the iFIT LIVE MODULE Correctly:

We had the chance to be present when a friend installed the iFIT LIVE Module on his NordicTrack X7i Incliner 7 inch touchscreen display. It was then when we understood this was not an easy process and it can really mess with you if you’re not somehow familiar with the Internet and Software products.

* A PC with Windows or a Mac
* A wireless router with SSID broadcast enabled and Internet connection.
* A decent Internet connection
* A subscription on iFIT.com
* A treadmill produced by ICON Health & Fitness compatible with the iFIT LIVE Module

* After you connect the iFIT Module to the PC with the USB cable go to the web address they recommend.

* Register your profile at iFIT website and you will download workouts to match your personal details. This is important to reach your goals correctly.

* While you have the USB cable connected you must install the software as well. When you get the message the installation is complete, you can insert the module in the Treadmill console and remove the USB cable.

* When you insert the iFIT Module in the console you must enable the WiFi connection and make sure the module is connected to the Internet Wireless.

* Turn on the treadmill and you will get the message Updates are required. Don’t ignore that message or you’ll be sorry later. Have patience and allow the iFIT Module software to update, even if it takes some hours. During this process, don’t remove the module and go have a coffee with friends.

iFIT LIVE Module Workouts:

Even if you have the older version of the iFIT LIVE module, the workouts options are the same as the new version.

The iFIT module downloads the workouts in the treadmill console through the WiFi internet connection. Speed and Incline are automatically controlled during the workout. All you need to do is follow the instructions the trainer gives you verbally.

The advantage is you can monitor your progress directly in your iFIT account when you login from your PC.

If you have an iPhone (but it’s not mandatory) you can simply send your meals info to your account so the trainers can customize your workouts accordingly. They send you workouts daily.

ICON Health & Fitness gives you a 90 days warranty from the purchase. So make sure you register the product shortly after you buy it. This is not the greatest warranty and you do need to follow their instructions one by one to avoid problems.

iFIT SD CARDS Workouts

Some ICON branded treadmills have the iFIT cards compatibility enabled. We tested these too. They are really great. They don’t have the same advantages as the iFIT LIVE module but they are efficient and decrease a lot the boredom sensation you may feel when training on a treadmill. All are signed by Jillian Michaels.

The SD cards control automatically the speed and incline of the treadmill. If you can’t keep the pace, you can always change the incline and speed, but don’t forget that the change you do applies only for one interval. The SD workout is a sum of multiple intervals.

Another advantage is that the workouts have a trainer voice enabled. This means that during the workout there is a professional trainer to guide you through the exercise. All you need to do is listen and follow the advice given

One tip: always remove the cards from the treadmill console when you’re not using them.

iFIT Workouts Advantages:

- iFIT workouts are challenging because they are built following a complete workout recipe, by professional trainers. Each workout pushes you to your next limit which is the key to a successful training program.

- The workouts have voices commands too. This replaces a personal trainer with so little costs.

- Workouts control the speed and incline of each treadmill they are installed on, automatically. So you just have to listen to the commands the trainer gives you and keep running.

iFIT Workouts Disadvantages:

- iFIT LIVE module, although revolutionary, is still in beta version. This is why you may often meet difficulties when using or installing it. In this case you have to contact their Customer Support.

- iFIT Live Module costs extra money (see price details below)

- iFIT SD workouts are bought separately from the treadmill cost. This means extra money for the user but also more benefits

- Although workouts are compatible with many ICON FITNESS treadmills, only some are real powerful and stable to support them all the way. Always read the review of the treadmill which has this feature listed. Although an attractive feature, may not be efficient at all on weak treadmills. With some models it’s listed just as a mechanism to get your money.

We know this options exists, but we haven’t tested it yet. We’ll keep this section open to update after we have the chance to review a treadmill compatible with it.

iFIT CDs

You can still buy treadmills compatible with one of the first iFIT options: CDs

CD’s work same as SD cards, only that you need a separate CD player to play them and connect to the treadmill. These are signed by trainers like Robin and Pete.

We warn you the options are very limited, especially for treadmills, although they cost less than the SD cards. Plus they wear out much more easily.

Some of the Program workouts we tested and enjoyed are:

- Level 1 and 2 Treadmill Workouts

- Level 1, 2 and 3 Incline Trainer Workouts

- Marathon Beginner 16-week Program with Rock (Very good!)

- 8-Week Level 3 Body Tone Interactive Treadmill Program (Excellent too!)

iFIT Videos

This option is barely found on the latest treadmills released by ICON. Still some have it.

To use an iFIT Videocassette you need a VCR to connect to the compatible console.

We couldn’t find any VideoCassette to buy for our Healtrider Treadmill, compatible with this option. We’re looking for some tips if any of you know where we could buy them.
