3. Wireless Heart-Rate Control with Belt & Transmitter
This feature is correlated to the Heart Rate Control program. The transmitter reads the heart rate (through the chest belt) and correlates it to the Heart Rate Targeted Zone Table inserted in the Panel.
The Heart Rate program will allow you to go from a level of the workout to another only if you reach the minimum targeted heart rate for your age and weight.

4. Nine Storable User Profiles
It allows saving up to nine profiles information like: age, weight and target heart rate information for instant access. The user profile comes with a unique code which you select every time you start the treadmill.

5. Six Preset Programs:
- Quick Start/Manual Program
- Killer Hills – you choose from 12 levels and adjust the incline during the workout. An increase/decrease in incline occurs every two minutes with this program
- Interval Speed Program
- Weight Loss Program with 12 levels of intensity (a combination between speed and incline)
- Self-Learning/Competition
- Heart Rate Control Program – This program consists of a Warm-up, Main Program and Cool Down. The treadmill determines a preset maximum target heart rate based upon your sex, height, weight and age, or you can adjust it to whatever maximum target workout rate you want.

6. 15″ LCD TV with Coaxial and RCA connections and it includes:
- Power LED
- Change TV channel up or down.
- Volume up and down to adjust speaker
- Remote to receive remote control signal.
- TV/AV options
- Menu OSD to change: brightness, contrast, color and TV function
Optional you can buy: the extra speaker, head set and remote control.

It’s worth mentioning also: the Safety Key Stop and English/Metric conversion

Conclusions

First of all make sure you buy the treadmill with the Delivery Option that includes delivery where you want to position it and assembly by their technical team. It’s worth the extra money you pay for this option instead of consuming A LOT of energy and time to do it yourself. The machine is big, heavy, it comes with many small parts and it has a pretty complicated User Manual.

When you start using it for the 1st time you feel very comfortable. The unique features that come with it (like the sensor based speed control) or the heart zone targeted system reading give you that pleasant sensation of exploring something new. It’s pretty cool.

The 9 user profile feature is very useful especially for large families that use the same treadmill.

The motor is silent and powerful. Incline and speed work very well in the parameters allowed. And the cherry on the top is the hydro suspension with the 12 levels that allow you to control the softness of the belt. This is the feature that Smooth Fitness sustains it cure joints pain. We tested this machine only for 10 days and indeed we didn’t experience any pain so we don’t argue with this.
Regarding the LCD Screen, this is pretty nice positioned and offers good audio and video quality. Again, we would prefer only an iPOD dock but for those who look to have this kind of entertainment in a treadmill, this one works pretty well.

What we don’t like so much is the poor number of programs included. But it compensates with the very nice Heart Rate Program.
In conclusion if you compare the price with the features of Smooth 9.45TV Treadmill, this is pretty high. And don’t believe the 50% discount marketed on the internet. This is a $2,500 machine for sure (if not a little less).

This would be a treadmill we recommend for those with a large space to store, with a passion for ‘new’ technical features and with the money to invest.

All runners know what joints pain is. We all feel it at one moment or another. But even if we succeed to cure this awful pain what can we do so that it doesn’t reappear?

The reason why this review starts with this question is because the answer can be in using a treadmill to workout. A proper training machine with the right belt and cushion system can make your joints pain never return again.
Smooth 9.45TV is one of the treadmills that have installed a hydra suspension with 12 levels of adjustments dedicated to prevent joints pains.

And this machine doesn’t do only that. The programs installed are dedicated to develop primarily the lower body muscles groups like: shoulder, calf, pectoral, rapezius, bicep, tricep, abdominal, back, forearm, gluteal, quadricep and hamstring muscles.

This treadmill is rated at $2500 (and this is not a cheap price) but for those who can afford it the features and functions it comes with may worth the investment.

Smooth 9.45TV Special Features

1. Motion Control
This is a pretty cool feature. Motion Control allows to wave the hand, like 6 inches above the motion sensors positioned on the handle bars to increase/decrease speed. The sensor makes a BEEP every time speed is changed. It allows changes by 0.1 MPH or 0.5 MPH per second.

Left sensor slows down the treadmill.
Right sensor speeds up the treadmill.
Both sensors stop the belt.

2. Hydra Suspension
The machine allows the user to change suspension according to his preferences. The suspension knobs can be turned to the right to stiffen the suspension or to the left to soften. The numeric values are one to twelve. One is the softest setting and twelve is the firmest.

The Smooth 6.25 treadmill seems to be a viable solution for those who like walking or light jogging workouts. It has a nice design and offers good performances but this si not a top machine.

We’ve read many complaints about the size and weight of this machine. Hey – this is a treadmill! If you don’t want bouncing when you jog it needs to be big & heavy.

The Smooth 6.25 treadmill comes with some interesting preset workouts but no additional features like sound system or built in fan. Even so the machine will satisfy a home user that uses it for light and medium workouts.

This treadmill can reach a top speed of 10 mph adjusted via two standard controls.

2. Inclination: 0-15%
The incline system of this treadmill can reach a maximum value of 15 degrees. The belt incline is adjusted with two standard buttons located on the center of the console.

This feature is very useful if the treadmill is used by multiple users. Up to nine users can save their info and load it before each workout.

LED Console
The console comes with an intuitive LED display system that monitors and shows training information like speed, distance and calories.

Preset And Custom Workouts
This unit includes eight preset workouts and 3 custom programs. The preset exercises focus on goals like distance, calories or time. There is also a Self-Learning/Competition program and a Heart Rate Control workout.

The Smooth 6.25 Treadmill supports a maximum user weight of 325 lbs.

The following features and functions are also included: 2.5″ Commercial Grade Rollers, Commercial grade and laminated deck and Handgrip pulse monitor

Conclusions For Smooth 6.25 Treadmill Review

From the first moment this treadmill impressed us with its design. We don’t know if it just a personal opinion but we really like the color choices applied and the console design. It gives you the impression of perfection from the moment you set an eye on it.

But our 1st impression did not persist until the end. The technical performances are good for this machine class but this treadmill is not even near top3.

This unit comes with a 2.75 CHP motor that reaches a decent noise level during heavy workouts. The motor powers a 20’’ x 54’’ belt that comes with a pretty good suspension/cushioning system. Of course we wish we had a longer belt but this version can work for now.

We love how the console is built: nice design and pleasant colors. But there is still a problem we discovered on several other brands. There are no quick speed and incline keys. In the last 4 months we did many treadmills testing and reviews and we kind of got used to having these easy to use buttons (we really like them). They are very useful especially if training gets intense. You simply push a button and you have the desired speed & incline.

The Smooth 6.5 comes with some interesting preset workouts. The target distance and calories programs are pretty cool and we smiled when we saw the Heart Rate Control Program.

There are no entertainment features on this treadmill. No speakers or Mp3 dock. This is something that is nice to have but not really that important. So we will not consider as a minus.

The warranty for this model is good: you get a lifetime warrantee for frame & motor and 5 years for the parts.

As a conclusion for the Smooth 6.5 Treadmill review: this is definitely a good machine with pleasant design and superior technical performances. However this is not a top treadmill in its class. More likely you can locate it in a middle position. The machine is definitely a solution for walkers but not something serious runners should consider.

The Smooth 5.45 treadmill tries to continue the success path opened by the 5.25 model. However, from our point of view we don’t see the improvements and we got the feeling they started to use low quality parts in order to increase their profits.

The Smooth 5.45 treadmill’s technical performances are comparable with the top machines in its class and this is a good choice for walkers but even so it’s not a top treadmill. There is no console design and the control interface could definitely be improved.

Overall this is a good and solid machine but it stays in the middle of charts from performance point of view.

The Smooth 5.45 treadmill comes with 6 built in workouts like: interval incline, interval speed, weight loss or Heart Rate Control. Also this model features nine storable user profiles.

The treadmill can support a maximum user weight of 250 lbs.
The following features and functions are also included: Nine Storable User Profiles, Heart Rate Control, LCD Console and Non-slip large 2″ crowned rollers.

Conclusions For Smooth 5.45 Treadmill Review

The Smooth 5.45 model replaces the old 5.25 unit which was one of the most successful machines ever produced by this company. This treadmill continues the line started by the 5.25 but after completing this review we cannot classify it as one of the 5 top treadmills for under $1000 price category.

The Smooth 5.45 comes with a good motor that provides 2.5 CHP. The running area has 55 inches in length and 20 inches wide. The cushioning system offers good protection and ensures comfort during trainings. So far everything works as expected but we can’t say we were left with the impression we tested something superior.

The console has a simple design. There are 6 buttons and a classic led console. The materials look cheap and the navigation system could definitely be improved. Also they are missing the quick speed and incline keys.

The folding system works pretty well but don’t expect to save a lot of space by this operation. The machine is pretty big & heavy so make sure you assemble it in the right place.

The warranty is decent but get the extend one if you decide to buy this unit.

As you can see we don’t have many positive or negative things about this machine. It hasn’t impressed us, it’s not a top unit for the budget class but at the same time it’s not a bad treadmill either.

As a conclusion for the Smooth 5.45 treadmill: in our opinion the previous model was better than this. The machine has a good price and will satisfy the needs of a walker. However there are other models like the NordicTrack 1500 or the Sole F63 that we consider better solutions.
